    Hey Fin....


    I was wondering if you could give me some info on the aquafit class...What is it like....what type of exercises you guy do? Do you like it?

    Most of the class (40 min or more) is based on getting the heart rate up. Jogging in place, doing the cross country ski move, jumping jacks and variations of that. Sometimes stationary, sometimes moving in a line up and down the pool. Most teachers have you incorporate both arms and legs into the movement to really get the heart going.

    A shorter part of the class is doing some strengthening exercises using the water for resistence. Arms, legs, abs, the core muscles all get used. For arms and abs, we use those styrofoam "noodles" to keep afloat or balance.

    The class begins and ends with stretching.

    A lot of elderly folk with limited mobility take the class so I never feel like an ***. Also pregnant women and overweight people who are looking to get a good workout without having to sweat and look awkward!

    I really enjoy it and go 2-3 times per week!

      Thanks so much Fin.....My Class was cancelled today b/c it was storming like crazy....So I did 5 laps in the pool instead....but thanks

        Try it another day! Especially a hot day......and the jacuzzi afterwards is fabulous!
