Re: Cheat Free weekend challenge
Some tips (from me, who has never cheated on a weekend!!!!)
1. Plan your weekend foods in advance as much as possible.
2. Make sure you have at least one nice treat for yourself each day - preferably something you don't normally have during the week.
3. Never leave the house hungry.
4. When you go out, make sure you either bring something high in fat/protein, or have access to something like that.
5. If you go out, park a little further away from wherever you are going than you usually do.
6. Get exercise both days!
7. Carry a water bottle around with you at all times!Started Atkins 2d time 6/20/05

Re: Cheat Free weekend challenge
I am in, but I am a little worried. After my cheat on Wednesday night, I am out of ketosis and feeling like it. I feel sluggish and I have that feeling that the only thing that can pull me out of would be a ******... You know what I mean? Something bad!
I am determined, though, to get back to how good I felt before. Here's to a cheat free week-end!149.8/no weigh/ 119

1st goal: 139 (earlier weight)
what the rungs mean to me:
rung 1 - more veggies
rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
rung 4 - berries, melon
rung 5 - wine -
rung 6 - beans, hummus
rung 7 - other fruits
rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
(on to pre-maintenance)

Oh, no, Shannon. The only thing that will make you feel better is to get back into ketosis! So keep the fats high, the carbs low, and drink your water!Started Atkins 2d time 6/20/05

Re: Cheat Free weekend challenge
Me too ! I don't cheat anyway! But this weekends wedding is all ukrainian food AARRRGGGGGHHHHH (she runs screaming from the room) As soon as the bride issued an invite to dinner, I knew I would be sitting in my SUV eating pepperoni sticks so I can't smell the food. I just keep telling myself (and telling TOM) that I can have those things again in moderation some day...just not now...and not for awhile.

Re: Cheat Free weekend challenge
Count me in, I hope. I'm not feelin so great right now, shakey feeling, achey and sore all over. Thought it was from gettin up so early at first (thanks to Jesse my little early bird) but now not so sure. I've done good food wise all day, sausage bacon and eggs for bkft, pepperoni chips (thanks Terry) and cheese for a snack. I felt pretty good yesterday.

Re: Cheat Free weekend challenge
I am pumped
for this challenge! I am sending out will power vibes as we speak to all those who may need a little boost this weekend. I am a little concerned because I am going away to visit family and won't have my own kitchen to prepare MY foods in. What I will have to be mindful of is making sure that I eat- sometimes I won't eat if there is nothing I can eat and then I get so starving that I cheat and eat whatever is in sight- especially carbs! So, I will make eating healthy a priority.
