THAT has to be the scariest thing I have heard and I am so sorry you had to go thru that. I really hope that this detective gets his s*** together and takes this seriously and goes after these men and makes them accountable for their actions. There has to be something he/they can do and yep, I would be the absolute bain of his (mr detective man) ever loving existance if this happened to me and he didnt take it seriously pretty darned quick.

Brook - what a horrible thing that happened to you guys. I would see a lawyer about the assault that occurred on your husband. A lawyer could put some serious pressure on the police department to take action. Do you have a copy of the police report (or anything that has the addresses of the idiots that did this)? If so, the lawyer could also send a letter to these individuals threatening a civil suit. Couldn't hurt. It would at least keep the heat up on those morons.
