  • It's Saturday

I love weekends, even when I have the entire summer off (I'm a teacher). !!!!!

I'm JUST getting up here on the west coast. Drinking my first cup of coffee, looking out the window to see that it is going to be another hot, humid day, and planning how to spend the day.

It was a good idea not to work out yesterday. I think I really needed the rest. I will work out this a.m. after dropping my younger daughter at work, and that will probably raise my energy level up.

I did some cooking yesterday, but not a lot. As you know, I try to cook up or prepare a bunch of low carb things for the weekends so I can munch away at will. It was just too hot. I think I'll stop at the store and get more olives, some artichoke hearts, and steaks - the latter so that dh can maybe bbq tomorrow night. Oh, and I can make veggie kabobs while he's at it!

Here's something interesting: I was looking at mybodycomp.com last night. I measured regularly every two weeks last time around, and the measurements are still on the site. Even though I gained all the weight back plus 4 lbs, I started out this time measuring LESS than when I started then! I STARTED this time at about my six-week measurements from last time. Why is THAT, do you suppose? (not complaining, oh, no!)

Have a great day! Stay cool, everyone! I hear it's hot, hot, hot, all over the country!

No you not Finelly.....Im here....Getting ready to head out the door though....Just thought I would chime in and chat with my new family for a bit before I go....You sound like you going to have a very good relaxing weekend....Its about 90 degrees here in Atlanta....but that won't stop me ....with all this energy I am ready to get up and out.....I love this Atkins lifestyle.

By the way Im not sure why your inches are less....Did you continue your exercise routine when you stopped atkins? Or maybe its because you so active with the kids all day you didn't really realize how my actual exercise you were getting in....But either way thats great.

Take care Fin and have a wonderful CHEAT FREE DAY
I will talk with you guys soon

Nope, i not only didn't exercise, but I ate practically only carbs!

And my kids are older, so I'm not chasing toddlers around. I mostly drive them - they are teens!

        Who knows??????lol

          Re: It's Saturday

I don't love weekends! I'm going to be stuck in my apartment all day, with no cable! All I have is this computer and the basic channels. I'm in summer school in Lubbock, TX (the most boringest so-called town there is. I wish I was back home with my folks in San Antonio. Oh, well. Mabey I'll do what I did yesterday and go to my schools Rec. They have little tvs at every bike station, and they have cable.

Interesting on the measurements Finelly. I say never question a good thing!!

Our kids may be teens but they still keep us busy just in a different way. If we arent driving them all over creation then they are driving and we are worrying when they are a little late coming home or havent checked in recently. These gray hairs arent there for nothing!

The humidity is taking a small hiatus and it feels wonderful to have all the doors and windows open today. Fresh air!! It even smells better outside.

Spending the day carting dd to and from work and hanging around home. Have my walk in and plan a second later on. Water is almost half gone, supplements are sitting here now that I mention it and Im about to have something to eat so they will be a side dish with lunch.

              Re: It's Saturday

It's almost 7:15 and I'm munching on fried zuchini with parmesan. I just realized that I never, I mean NEVER, eat entire meals. I have one dish at a time, spread out over an hour or two. Well, it works!

It's been incredibly hot today with many promises of a nice thundershower but nothing fulfilled. Several businesses in town have no a/c, which is really freaky! I went into TJ Maxx and their a/c had died. It was like walking thru a sauna. (Why did you do it, then, Finelly? Because I was bored, that's why)

I have finished my water quota and hope to finish peeing at some point in the near future....in the meantime, I am noticing all SORTS of things in my bathroom. (there's a hair ball under the cabinet....oh, look, there's where all the bobby pins are!)

I'm just feeling very peaceful and good. Tomorrow is the end of my fifth week!!!! Not one cheat! I've worked out 6 days a week, kept my carbs under 20 grams, eaten the right number of calories, made new and supportive friends here, drunk my water (more or less), and lost 23 inches!

                  Re: It's Saturday

I was a good girl too, worked out all day hauling sound equipment, performed a really energetic wedding where I was running around all night looking after details for my bride. Taught some new dance steps to a bunch of kids, and even stayed away from all that ukrainian food (perogys, cabbage rolls etc) Am a pretty exhausted chick but happy that I kept control. Today (Sunday) was the worst, a few days away from TOM and almost had a carb collapse. Was trying to justify all the reasons why i deserve chinese dim sum hahahahaha, but I went to lsleep at 6 p.m. instead, now its midnight and I'm up...guess I'll go do my walk right now. TOM = evil thoughts
