Hi all - I was unable to access the Board for some reason until just now! Did anyone else have that problem?
I had a TERRIBLE night. I have some weird cough that cough syrup isn't dealing with, so I did not sleep well. Around 5:30 a.m. I got up, made some tea, and then went back to sleep for 4 hours. I feel better, but I HATE having nights like that.
Today I am going to be driving kids around from place to place (ah, the mom's life) and having coffee with my oldest son. I will work out later in the afternoon. I REALLY feel my abs today, since starting to do the "Captain's Chair" at the gym.
For those of you who don't know what it is, it's a thing where you hang/brace yourselves on your arms and bring your knees up, or legs straight up. REALLY works the lower and upper abs. The thing is, I am so out of shape that I not only can't brace myself for more than 10 seconds without sliding down, but I can only bring my knees up, not straight legs. And I can only do about 5 before I have to stop and rest.
It's embarassing and I'm sure everyone is staring at me, but i am determined to increase the number of reps by 2 every day. I started able to only do 3, now 5. I stop, brace myself again, and do another set, and then one more. Not much, but I remember only being able to do 5 min on the stair stepper and working up to 30 min......
I was happy to see that DivainDubai has checked in! Anyone who hasn't posted in awhile should do so, so that we don't start worrying and biting our fingernails and sweating all over the furniture in the STAC-ked lounge, ok? Jewish moms like me are the Queens of Worry - don't do this to me!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have not started on my water yet, but I have a bottle right here, and I'm gonna do the gallon thing again......
