Alright, I am back again. Today will be day 1.

My biggest struggle will be with soda. I promise I will not drink any regular soda!

I plan on making chicken taco salad today, I will eat it at dinner. Can I have suggestions for breakfast tomorrow? I hate eggs and most veggies. I know I'll learn to like more later but not until my taste changes a bit. Any ideas?

Also... where can I find flax to make flax crackers?

Hi Mojo! Glad to see you are not giving up completely - keep trying! You will succeed.

I always have a hard time with breakfast too. I really don't like eating eggs. Don't know why, just don't want them. So, I was grilling two hamburgers on the foreman in the morning and eating them with ranch dressing or salsa. Lately, I have also started making some tuna salad w/boiled egg in it and serving it over lettuce like a salad. Breakfast really isn't my fav meal. Sorry I couldn't be of better help.

With regard to the Flax Seed, at my local grocery store, they sell it in an aisle called "healthy/diet food section."
Wishing you an easy day 1!

      Hey Mojo!

I am not an egg person either. Once or twice a week maybe but not a lot. Breakfast can be anythingy you have leftover, or as sarah suggested I also make burgers, taco salad, tuna.... whatever you like that is induction friendly. Crustless quiche is another good one.

I get flax seed at my local grocery store too. I prefer to get it already ground but they dont always have it that way and I have to grind it in my coffee grinder.

You can make flax muffins too for breakfast. I made some chocolate ones this morning.

Hang tough. You CAN do this!

I am still hangin in there. Its tough, but I got admit its even tougher when I can't fit into my pants.

Thanks for the ideas. I need to get a grinder. Seems like there's been other things that I needed to grind.

I just wanted to post.... hoping it helps me make it thru...

            Mojo!!!!! Welcome back!

I just stopped by these forums to see who's around and how everyone I met in '03 were doing. I've been there before myself with slipping back into the carbzone and having a hard time getting back to wanting to eat better. It sucks. It happens sometimes. But thank goodness there's Atkins to come back to!!

            Wishing you all the best.

As for grinders, I have a cheap blade grinder I bought at Walmart a long time ago and keep putting off getting a better. It's doable, but I'd like to be able to grind larger quanities at a time. Next time I go to town I'm picking up a larger hand-crank model. I'll let you know what I think of it.

Mojo, maybe some pre-planning would help you along. Have some things stored in the fridge for those moments when you are feeling weak. For example, maybe some fixings for a taco salad (cooked/seasoned meat all ready to go), some chicken wings if you like those, some pepperoni, some cheeses, maybe some pre-made tuna salad/egg salad. Or if you have a sweet tooth, the yummy clouds or some of the ideas that Finelly has suggested for sweets. Just a thought. This is what helps me, having something on hand the moment I'm coming to a breaking point. Hang in there!
