  • needed....tough love

I thought I was ready to do this diet again. Then, I went away for the weekend and totally messed it up. I feel terrible. I know I could have stuck to the diet and still had fun, but I chose not to. This is now the fourth time for me, and I want it to be my last. I'm ready to take on this way of life. Today, I've already drank a ton of water and ran for an hour. I wanted to make up for the weekend. I do not want to mess it up again

This is what stood out to me. I just took a few minutes to go back thru your posts and wonder if you are setting yourself up each time you go away or have a special weekend etc.

I'll give you some tough love but first I want to say that it is hard to make the neccessary changes and to lose the weight. But it is the choices we make that either make or break us in the woe. If you choose to not eat on program then you sabotage yourself. "How bad do I want this" is what you have to ask yourself before you can go any further. You CAN do this. But you have to give it 2 solid weeks of a strict, clean induction to get the ball rollin'

    Now the tough love:

    DRINK YOUR WATER!!!!

    TAKE YOUR SUPPLEMENTS!!!!

GET EXERCISE IN SOME FORM THAT YOU WILL WANT TO CONTINUE WITH!!!

FOLLOW THE RULES OF INDUCTION AND ONLY EAT ONLY FROM THIS LIST!!!

STAY AWAY FROM SITUATIONS THAT WILL ONLY TEMPT YOU TO CHEAT!!!!

    PLAN PLAN PLAN!!!!!

    There. I HATE being tough.

You can do this. We are here for you. It helps to come here routinely and post, vent, ask for help and offer support to others. It never hurts to re read the DANDR and the stickys at the top of this forum.

Just get back up, dust your self off and move on. Don't let the food control you. You made a conscious decision to eat off of this woe over the weekend. Now you need to get back on track. Maybe you could join some of the challenges? A cheat free week or something like that? Or try to pre-plan and cook some meals in advance. Sorry, I'm not very good at tough love. I think the important part is moving past it when it happens and not smacking yourself with guilt. This is a lifetime commitment for us carbaholics - try to look at it that way and keep going. Sounds like you are off to a good start today!! Congrats on the water and exercise!
