        Re: Good Morning LowCarbing4ever.

Thank you guys so much for being so warm and supportive! I sadly wish that I could say the day went well but....*sigh*...it didn't. Once again, I cheated because I was sooo tired from working the night before, I overslept my alarm in the morning so I had to do the mad dash out the door without my water mug, my breakfast or lunch or even my vitamins.

I am so disappointed in myself for failing so fast, I expected better of me. I am sitting here and thinking how I could have gone so wrong and I know exactly what the things are that I did wrong. Having said all this, I know that I am only human and that tomorrow is another fresh, new day. I am not giving up (even though I sure feel like it) but just more determined. Like I said, I know what I did wrong and how to correct it. I am going to make my lunch and partially cook my breakfast tonight, so that I can just open the fridge and take it with me. I am going to put my water jug in the car, that way I won't leave it behind. I put my vitamins for the day, in an empty Ibruprofen bottle and put it in my backpack so that I won't forget them in the morning.

Dont let it beat you up. Sounds like you have a good plan for tomorrow. A lot of our success depends on that kind of planning. You will be into the swing of it before you know it and it will all turn into habit.

Check in tomorrow and let us know how you are doing.

Its ok Low.....You have to take things day by day....But I do have a suggestion....Do what I do and cook breakfast and lunch for the week and if you have to dinner as well...Every Sunday I cook this massive heap of low carb lunches and dinners... and then I freeze them for the week so on day like yours when I get up late and starting my morning off wrong....all I have to do is grab a lunch out of the freezer.....If I get home too late and im tired then I grab one out the freeezer and pop it in the microwave......I hope this helps....

Keep trying....its going to be ok

              Re: Good Morning LowCarbing4ever.

Great suggestion Natsha. I always have some hard boiled eggs in the refrig so if I need a quick breakfast, its 2 eggs and Im good.
We can do this, I found that the hardest day is the first. And you don't really have to start in the morning, you can start anytime. Once you get that first 24 hours under your belt its smooth sailing.

                Re: Good Morning LowCarbing4ever.

Oh I have been struggling too! Don't beat yourself up over it. You are strong and can overcome this, and just move on sister!

I made chili and rice for my hub unit and my sons last night, Was very hard not to have any. Was making all KINDS of stupid rationalizations in my head. Then all of a sudden, hubby piped up and said "WHAT? ARE YOU REALLY PLANNING ON CHEATING?" My shock at hearing him saying this, and the realization that I just about talked myself into having a bowl after 42 days of being cheat free made me step back a bit. I gotta give hubby credit cause he (being a chef) used to be THRILLED when I would order a cheat day. But I know now that he must have been getting tired of listening to me whine about nothing ever fitting me, and how fat I look, and how tired I am, and how I wish I could look like I used to look, and about my darn fatty liver problem. He wants his wife back too! I am blessed. I think I will go give him a big ol bear hug for being so great yesterday! I am pretty sure I would have fallen the past couple days had it not been for him.

But hunny if you do fall. Getting back up right away and getting back on is the bandaid you need. The worst case scenario is if you keep cheating because...well whaddya know...now I have all these leftovers from my previous days cheat...must not let THAT go to waste...and before you know it...BAM...10 pounds back on. Not worth it! So give yourself a pat for getting back on. ONWARD!

                  Re: Good Morning LowCarbing4ever.

Thanks everyone! Today was not perfect but it was sure better than yesterday. Before, I used to cook a whole load of food on my days off and use them thru the week for lunches and stuf. Problem is, I stopped doing it and fell of the wagon. Since I stopped doing Atkins, I am soooo tired after work that the last thing I want to do is worry about cooking. But, God willing, if I can just make it thru a week or two, I could get my energy back. I remember after being on Atkins for 40 days, I had so much energy; I didn't have to take a nap in the afternoon after work anymore and i could cook and clean and be active. Then when I stopped my WOE, I would say that within 4 weeks, my energy was totally gone.

I am not kicking myself anymore because I realize that the only way to have success is to make sure tha I have my bases covered and be PREPARED. That was my motto before and will have to continue to be. I have to remember to plan my meals, have my water jug, not bring "junk food junkie" money to work with me and keep going to the gym. I have to make sure there is no room for cheating or I will cheat. I also have to get rid of my "perfect" all-or-nothing thinking to doing this way of eating. I find that creeping back up these days. I try to have this perfect induction day and if I fail, then it was all for nothing. I have to stop thinking this way. I know better. So that is my goal for the week: changing my tape in my head to more positive thinking.

I am cooking some Goddess Biker's pizza and tuna salad with egg for breakfast/lunch tomorrow. I am going to be ready for my day with bells on and go to the gym like a good girl!

                    Re: Good Morning LowCarbing4ever.

I'm with ya on the preparing food in advance thingy. I was too sluggish to do much, but I knew I needed to get the snacks and foods prepared in order to eat, in order to go into ketosis, in order to get the energy to prepare the snacks and foods.....oy vey!

Just hang in there. Even if for the first three or four days all you carry around is cheese sticks and veggies with ranch dip, you can do it. And then the Atkins High will set in and you'll be c ooking up a storm!
