Ok, I HAVE to bite the bullet tomorrow and get me a new pair of shoes. I wear athletic shoes to work, in the hospital, but I do a lot of desk work, so I am not on my feet all day. But I do walk too.
I have been walking on my treadmill every other day, 30-35 minutes.
My problem is, in my town, about the only walking shoes I can find are WHITe, and I do not want white. I really don't want to buy a pair online, because I want to try them on first. Different brands fit so differently.
What would be the harm if any to my walking and my feet of buying running shoes, or trail shoes, or crosstrainers, instead of walking?
I do plan to gradually increase my walking times to more in the future.
Right now I am wearing a pair of NIKE from last year that I am certain are not walking, but when I bought them I was not exercising or anything. They are much too bulky to be walking shoes. It says they are running shoes, but they look much more bulkier than the running shoes that I say today made by both Nike and New Balance.
There is almost a 1000% chance that I will NEVER run in them. Too top heavy for that!
Anyway, just looking for input. The only sales people in our stores don't know any more than I do, they only know where the walking shoes are in the store!!!!
