  • Here again

Hello, most of you probably don't remember me. I was here last year through September or so and had lost about 35 pounds. Then we got hit with Hurricanes Frances and Jeanne, and I got stressed having to stay at my MIL's and went off Atkins, eventually gaining back all I had lost plus a few more pounds. For the better part of the last year, I had absolutely no desire to get back on even though I had thought about it. Then I went for my annual checkup and found out my triglycerides are up to 183. Even though it is not drastically over the healthy range, I knew it would only get worse if I didn't do something now. So here I am again, chugging my water and starting to get moving again.

Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

                    Re: Here again

Thanks to everyone for the welcome!!

Desertthorn, I am LOL about "How to survive MIL's house" !!!!! It is funny -- I actually get along with my MIL, but having to spend 1 week there the first time and 2 weeks the second time with a 3-y/o and a 6-y/o was definitely rough. (Our power was out for those times.)

So anybody have any good tips for nonperishable food items that are Atkins-friendly? It's the veggies and mayo that seem hardest to keep - I can always keep tuna and canned chicken on hand. TIA!!!

Hiya! I just wanted to add a word of encouragement this morning. You're doing the right thing.

I'm too sleepy still to address your question about food, but I'll get back to you once I've had some coffee and time to think!
