    Re: Flavored waters

Nope, I pretty much drink Crystal light. In Az they had a brand of bottled water that wasnt all gross, but I cant find it here, and cant afford the other kind I like well enough to drink large quantites.

I am maintaining lately, but think that is due to just eating whatever I want sometimes, more than water issues. Back to eating right, and then will see how the water thing plays out... But at least I am drinking it????

SIGH. Maybe will cut it further.

I must admit last time I was on plan and losing pretty well that ......

I added about 3-4 oz of crystal light to my 40 oz water bottle once a day sometimes twice.... still lost just fine. I was drinking a total of 120 oz per day including this unmentionable beverage.......

      Ok, I fessed up.

            Re: Flavored waters

Some people don't stall with artificial sweeteners while others may. Another part of having flavored drinks occasionally instead of regularly is breaking that craving for sweets. The more you "need" that sweet fix, the more you probably need to break it.. but that's along the lines of whether or not to drink coffee. It hinders some people and can cause cravings, but some people never give it up and not have it seemingly affect their weight loss.

Carbonated water is hard on the body, while regular water is a necessity. Again, occasional use; not a replacement for drinking good plain water.

Yes, there are purists, there are those that use sweetened and/or carbonated or caffeinated drinks every day, and there are those who use them only occasionally. It's your own choice to make.

Agree with Star! I always drank the flavored seltzer water 2 liters and counted it towards my water intake. I can't stand tap water here in FL (BLECH!) ... so its flavored water or nothing! I don't drink the sweetened seltzers though .. just flavor and carbonated water. I love the fizz.

The flavored waters I have seen have high sodium content. They are the Nestle brand ones.
