Hi everyone!
For those of you who don't know me, I'm Val, aka "HoosierBuckeye" and a frequent poster back in March-Octoberish 2004. In that time, I lost about 35-40 pounds (I don't really know) on a strict Induction for that whole time period. My lowest weight at some point between October and now -- don't remember when, but you ALWAYS remember your lowest weight -- was 179. Sometimes this March I was back up to 190 and was infuriated with myself. I managed to hover around 186 for a few months.
In mid-June I moved to North Carolina for a job chance. The heat is unbearable, but I recognized more than anything how much LESS you sweat during inactivity when you are thinner.
Tuesday morning I changed my life around and got back on strict Induction. With 33 minutes elliptical machine, 15 minutes weightlifting alternating arms/legs, and over 80 ounces of water every day, I've already lost 3.4 pounds.
To be fair, I'd been doing the above exercise exactly every day or every other day for about a month now. Adding Induction back in, I feel like I'm unstoppable.
My goal is to reach 165 and size 12 when I head back to Columbus at the end of October.
I wanted to say hi to all my old friends here and let everyone know that the ADBB is really the best resource out there for support. I love reading everyone's stories and helping those in need.
Keep up the good work, second-timers!
Val
