  • An update on me

    Hey guys... just wanted to let you all know that I'm doing good. Saw my nutritionist on Wednesday and have been eating all kinds of stuff. She's an awesome lady... knows all about Atkins and low-carbing so it wasn't too hard for her to come up with a good tailored diet for me. I'm now taking a high level calcium supplement along with an AMAZING prescription vitamin (it's like the one I took when I was pregnant..woohoo.) I do get to eat bran cereal and whole grain bread each day, so that's been fun...lol. I don't get to eat all the high fat/meat protein I was eating on Atkins, but I'm not that upset... I'm pretty happy with my meals. What I didn't expect was that I would lose weight that fast....especially changing from Atkins woe to a new one...BUT, I got on the scale today and almost fainted because in three days of my new woe, I've lost 4 pounds! Wow! I'm really happy about that and hopefully it will continue. I miss you guys... don't always feel like I should post here because I'm not doing Atkins anymore, but you all are such inspiration... so I've been lurking...LOL. Everyone keep up the great work!!!!

    Girl I'm so happy to hear that your doing so good on your new woe! Four pounds is a fantastic loss I bet you were pumped! I personally don't think you should ever feel guilty for posting here, to me its all about support and friendship and I think you'll find both here. After we talked I kinda moved on to OWL, still doing really good, down 10.5 woohoo! Good to hear from you and keep posting!

                Thanks everyone!!! Still doing good... I got to have an "unnamed sugar product" on Saturday night as a "free food" because I was 150 cals low for the day... woohoo. I'm pretty blown away on how easy this has been... I was expecting to be hungry and pissy but I'm not. And it's not hard sticking to this woe. Lost another pound since Saturday (but I'm not supposed to know that... nutritionist told me she was going to steal my scale if I didn't stay off of it..LOL) Other than that, I'm feeling good.

                    I'd be interested in hearing more about the diet - the general idea and a sample menu for the day maybe. It sounds great and it's made me curious. If you wouldn't mind, that is...

                      SSG... I think its great that you are doing well. WOuldnt be upset about posting, there are a few of us, I think, that are low carbing, if not eactly by the book or you will be exiled... (Hope I wont be exiled)...

                      Sounds like you are experiencing weight loss like those folks who start to move up the rungs experience. Always interesting to surprise your body and see how it reacts.

                      No wasted carbs.
                      Water intake .5 -1 gallon.
                      Exercise 60 minutes 5x week
                      Get in the right veggies.
