  • this is not good

    I just started back on it about a week ago, I weighed myself today and NOTHING!?!? I have only lost half a pound (doen't count...after a whole week), and only one inch . I think that it could well be my fault though. I have been drinking alchohal alot lately...(still in college) that has an effect doesent it? We'll I need opinions. This is what I eat...


    Atkins Shakes, Cheese, Meat (lots of fish), tons of nuts, low carb veggies, salads, decaf coffee, my alcohal consists of rum and diet soda...could it be the caffeine? and wine

    Oh boy!!

    Blueeyes.... You did read the book didnt you?

    What you have listed as your diet doesnt even resemble induction.

    NO nuts

    NO alcohol

    NO Atkins shakes or any other frankenfoods are allowed

    NO soda

    Doesnt matter that you are in college or not. If you want this to work for you then you are going to have to follow the rules of induction to see any success with this new WOE. It is a lifestyle change not a quick fix.

    Sorry if this sounds harsh but.......... If you want this to work for you then you are going to have to follow the rules of induction.

    The weight will fall right off of you IF you eat as directed. Please re read the induction section of the book and if it is something you can live with then make sure you prepare for it by having the neccessary foods available to you to make it happen.

    You CAN do this!

      Please take some time to read the stickys at the top of the 14 day induction forum. There is a lot of really helpful information there for you if you are getting lost in your induction.

      Why dont you post your foods each day for awhile and let the group help you along and get you set in the right direction.

      I promise that once you have a week of a clean induction under your belt, you are going to be all set. We can help you get thru it....

      How great you will feel a week from now if you start today! Once your ketosis kicks in you not only will get the wonderful appetite supression effect but also a great boost of energy! And the pounds will come off. Be sure to take those measurements if you havent already. The scale wont always be as good to you as your measuring tape will.

        thank you terry, your right! I forgot that i was not supposed to drink the shakes. I felt like I could just jump back and not read the book. I ll stick with what I should, going on a fishing trip, hope I can stay strong!...Lots of Trout!

          Trout is good!!!!

          Print out a copy of the acceptable food list to take with you and remember... no alcohol. Be sure that you packed foods that you can eat. Later in another rung you can add it back in.... in moderation.

          The minute you get alcohol into your system, you stop buring fat until your body can burn off the alcohol. So when you wanna drink............... remember it will stop you from losing the fat you want to get rid of!

          Someone said.... Do I want this (insert goodie of choice here)? OR do I want a skinny healthy new body? Its all about the choices we make.

            Do exactly what Terry said. Then come back from the fishing trip and we will discuss your daily menu again!

              I said that ME ME ME! I am the carb hound who couldn't get back on until I had a good talk with myself. I really CRAVE those bad things, but if I ask myself seriously what I want more, that junk food, or a healthy sexy body, the sexy body will win out. I am not stupid, I see other lovelies around here who have reached their goal weights Brook or Sheila etc who admits that they can have a "me" day once every 2 weeks or month where they can eat something as a treat for a meal or the day, then its back to plan. But thats once I am at maintenance...not til then! If I don't get serious, I will never lose the weight to get to goal.

                I think all the other folks have said exactly what I was going to say.....But you gotta do some serious changing if you really wanna see some results....and the alcohol is a big no no.....

                So think about doing some changing....
