  • Did ya miss me?

    I'm back!

    I'm not MIA. I had to quickly leave town a week ago Thursday. My aunt had been sick and was being moved to hospice to pass away peacefully. As soon as I got the call, I left town to try to get back to see her, but I did not make it in time.

    I just got home today and now I am waaaay behind after not having internet access for over a week! I hope everybody is doing great!

    I didn't go off plan, but I didn't eat well either. No bad carbs, but I ate very little over the past nine days. I didn't exercise and I didn't drink my water. I actually drank some soda (needed something to keep me awake for the 14.5 hour drive). Most days I broke the 6 hour rule and didn't eat often enough. When I did eat, I had very few veggies, and the veggies I had weren't high quality. Mostly lettuce. I was probably lucky if I got even 10 carbs in me each day.

    So, back on OWL strong now. When I got home tonight, I weighed right away thinking that I HAD to have lost weight. No, I was at 223. I'm hoping its water weight. I'll see what I'm at in the morning. Remember, I'm a scaleaholic.

    Welcome home and I am very sorry to hear about your Aunt.

    Im sure in a few days your system will readjust and be back to normal.

        Welcome home, Nikki! These types of things are unavoidable and you did well to simply avoid bad carbs. The rest of the stuff is easily remedied, and you'll be back on track before you know it!

          Well you were missed and inching toward that AWOL list. LOL. Sorry about your aunt. Hugs to all your family.
          With all that stress, your to be congratulated for keeping as close to plan as possible. Its difficult when you have an emegency, and can't plan out your meals. You did a good job girl. Glad your home and glad your back.

            We did miss you, of course!

            Sorry to hear about your aunt.

            Just try to drink lots of water in the next few days, sure you'll go back to normal.
