It apprears from the bottom that Perry is our MOD.
1) I will PM and ask him to sticky it.
2) If the rest of you will go up to the top left hand corner and give it a rating of excellent, that will also help.
Finally, this is a great post and thanks a lot for the work that went into it. You get my vote.
FYI if any of you feel that a post should be stickied or that something is wrong, you find Spam or for any reason, you can do a couple things.
Go to the bottom of the Forum and find out who is the Mod for that forum and then send them a PM by just clicking on their name.
Or go to the list of folks who are online at that time and if there is an ADMIN click on their name and send them a PM. They are ancious to help and thats what they are there for. Now some of the Admins keep their status hidden so if no ones name apprears in Orange and its an emergency, you can PM them all by typing in their names in the PM , and often you'll find someone that way.
This is your board and they want it to be user friendly, so USE them. LOL

LOL, of all the folks who doesn't need STAC!!!! But I guess we should be proud that it takes an ADMIN to mod us. We get the top guns if you know what I mean.

This was just the post I needed. I am 1.5 week into induction and the #'s are going pretty slow. All the other times I did it, things went much faster.
I made measurements on day 1 so I'm looking forward to taking them again at the end of my 2 weeks induction to see how many inches I lost.
Thanks again for this wonderful post!
Started Induction on 10/13/08 185/165/145
1st Mini Goal: 175 - 10/30/08 2nd Mini Goal: 165 - 11/21/08 3rd Mini Goal: 155

I am starting over and from the south, love sausage, I read on the lable of one that they put corn syurp in it, Why I don't know. But what I want to know is will this hurt that much on the first two weeks back again?

Thanks for referring me to this sticky, Finelly. Good points, and patience is a virtue, I keep reminding myself! Two weeks will turn into two months and so on. I do check for ketosis daily and have been positive since day 3, BUT I have not measured myself, and your post has convinced me that it's important to do so . . . and will do so right now

I am so glad I read this. I lost 4lbs the first week and then have stuck. It is disappointing to stall so quickly. I know that this is a woe for life. It is good to be reminded that it is more that a quick weight loss.
Hi and thanks for your post. I am on the 16th day of induction and somewhere deep inside I feel that I should already be SKinny. I really need to hear words of wisdom that these everyday. And I too am drinking more water, eating more fat, eating less than 20 carbs, and exercing. txs again
Well, this is very discouraging to me!! The first time, I lost 7 pounds during induction. This time, I lost only 3 pounds - and all 3 were during the first week. I gained the weight back very quickly, but I don't think I have the patience to wait forever for the weight to come off. Why should I continue eating like this if I can eat a little of all I want, exercise, and lose weight quicker? Or I could eat whatever I want and maintain? I'm maintaining now, and I am following a strict diet.
I gave up this WOE because I got bored and quit losing. I would like to continue this WOE IF it results in a thinner me. Otherwise, I have no motivation to continue.

Fourth, and most important, a person who gets into ketosis, exercises, and drinks water is going to feel a whole lot better than a person who doesn't. Happier, more energetic, and healthier. And that's where we are. The weight is a lovely side-effect, and whether it is slow or fast, it's still lovely!
But it won't stop the sneers and deragatory comments about how "heavy" we are. It won't stop others from continuing to lecture us about losing weight. Although we are "trying," it isn't happening. And so we will be encouraged to try something else that works - like starving.
I am so mad right now.

This is my 15th time around, lol... bad, bad girl...
BUT I am on day 7 and have lost 7 pounds....I expect it to slow up some since I only need to loose 49 more pounds...which is a piece of cream cheese to me since, when I first met you all 2 years ago I needed to lose 105 pounds....I lost about 76 at (169) of them then gained back up to 196.... which made it to 189 this morning yay!
