    http://www.drkoop.com/tools/93/ibw.html

What is your body frame size (wrap your thumb and major fingers around your smallest part of your wrist)?
    Small Frame (the fingers overlap)
Medium Frame (the fingers barely touch)
Large Frame (the fingers don't touch)

I never was a small frame size before... a couple years ago my fingers *barely* touched and a year ago at this weight my fingers didn't overlap, but now they do. Now if I designate a medium frame size, the calculator says I'm underweight! rofl!

Funny how my frame size has shifted along with the weight. I never would have pegged myself as having a small frame.

Interesting, but if your wrists are fat, wouldn't that sorta influence the whole thing?

This was an interesting website. It says I have a small frame, which I have always been told and the weight range I should be in is also my goal weight right smack dab in the middle.

          Ideal weight is 164 - 180.4 lbs. (75 - 82 kg.).
You are marginally overweight by 13.60 lbs. (6 kg.)

Here is what I found out. So I have set my goal at 180. After I get there I will decide if I want to go smaller. I can now wear 12-14 size clothes, so I am real pleased with my progress so far. Just 14 more pounds and goal will be mine. Now I need to get with it and quit slacking off. I need to work on my portion sizes. I know this is my problem.

Hmmm, the 'ideal weight' that that site has me at is what I weighed a few weeks ago, and I was over 30% body fat. I guess I'm tiny bodyframe or something.

I don't know if I would trust that site... it gave me three different readings on my frame size and told me that I was underweight when it's results showed that I'm overweight. Seems like a glitch in the system. Try this site to get a more precise measure of your body frame measurement. This was also the way that my nutritionist measured my frame size.

I don't think it is accurate.

I weigh 132 and plan to go down to 120... I have weighed less than that at age 35 ( 119) and looked really good... and all through my 20's...
weighed much less in my teens at same height.

                Ideal weight is 138 - 151.8 lbs. (63 - 69 kg.).
                You are underweight.

                  Re: body frame size

thanks Ssgswife for the other site to measure frame size. It showed me that I am definately Large boned. When it says 6 1/2 inch wrist means large frame and my wrist size is 7 inches around.
                  How did others compare?

I am a large frame also.I'm wondering though if that is not because I am overweight.I mean, for example,if I lose weight, wouldn't my wrist size decrease.According to the first calculations,I'm a medium almost small.hmmm

My wrist is 6 1/2" around. Do I have a small frame or just long fingers? Lol. Everything says I'm over weight...I'm used to it. Not saying I don't want to do anything about it...because I am...I just don't get too discouraged because I know I'm on the right path.

                        Re: body frame size

as you lose weight the circumfrence of your wrist will go down. However the distance between those 2 bones in your elbow joint will never change so use that method to get a more accurate frame size.
Don't use those ideal weight charts either because with your Atkins eating and your exercise you will hacve more muscle mass at the same weight on the way back down then you did on the way up and wear smaller clothes too. It is very important to make sure you don't get tooo small and get into an unhealthy body fat range.

I went for the dunk tank and was told I had way mopre lean boidy mass then I thought and I was actually at the bottom of the body fat range for jocks with 14.9% body fat even though according to the BMI and the height weight charts I was still over weight.
