Well, Terry and I have both finished the first 6 weeks of this woe. It's 10:40 here in Calif, and all of you easterners are asleep, I'm sure, so I will just sit here and reflect all by myself! I'm guessing Terry will do the same tomorrow.
Accomplishments
I have eaten consistently right around (100 calories give or take) my BMR every single day.
I have exercised between 5 and 6 days per week, increasing my cardio from 20 min to 45 minutes.
I have never gone above 20 net carbs and stay pretty much in the teens, carb wise.
I have never cheated.
I have lost 11 lbs of the 30 I gained back.
I have lost 30 inches of the 51 I gained back.
I have posted on this forum every day, at least 3 times.
I have stayed positive and upbeat.
Struggles
I am not yet consistent with my water intake.
I haven't worked on my abs consistently.
That's pretty good, in my honest opinion. <grin>
New goals
So what now? I've decided to stay in Extended Induction for another two weeks, then re-evaluate. I had thought before that I would move to OWL at 200 lbs, but the scale is moving slowly, so I'm not sure it's the appropriate gage to use. At this point, I'm not bored with the food and have no real cravings for anything on the OWL rungs, so I'm comfortable where I am.
What else? Well, I have to get this water issue under control. I'm going to aim for 64 oz per day for the next week, since I can't seem to consistently get to 128. Since I'm easily able to do 75, this means I'll exceed my goal no matter what! lol.
I'm also going to work on my abs more. I have an abs tape and I will use it at least 3 times this week in addition to the work I do every other day at the gym. (I originally typed in "every other day for the next month", but I decided that was pushing it a bit. I need to stay reasonable.)
So, there I have it. I've been feeling absolutely fantastic since day one, except for a one-day meltdown the day before TOM. And I have a LOT to celebrate!
