  • Where is everyone?

    I came on this evening after being gone all day and expected to have some heavy duty catching up to do?

    Wow...... Kind of strange getting on without lots of new posts.

    Hope everyone is doing OK or better yet, just having too much fun to get around to posting!

    I spent some time working today helping to get ready for the return of the new school year. It is getting closer all the time. Forgot my water so I am chugging this evening playing catch up. And I am about to get a walk in.

    I was JUST wondering the same thing Terry! I don't know where anyone else is, but I'm here.

    About to go for another walk i think. See if I can't gradually work off this tendon problem (it turns out it's NOT a pulled muscle)

      I'm here, sort of wandering in and out. Not drinking my water. Not working out. Feeling v-e-r-y sleepy. I think it's the heat. And my Inner Toddler, being nasty about drinking fluids.

        Im here Fin...I have been checking all day but haven't had a lot of post....I have been drinking my water im up to 9 cups (70 oz) .....Trying to will myself to get on my elliptical machine.....

          Here, but not here...lol! Yesterday was hard getting onto the site with it taking so long to dial; yes, I have dial up! <sigh>

          Haven't had a whole lot of time to chatch up on posts...but I've been thinking of everyone with positive thoughts.

            So you have a tendon injury Knick? Ouch... I have had tendon problems with my arm a few times. Can really hurt and takes its time healing too. At least mine did.

              Yeah, it looks like it's a tendon thing. It hasn't gone away and it only hurts when i've been bending my knee a lot (like walking, for example). It's really frustrating.

              So, whatever it is, i'm taking it easy. I did walk 2 miles today v...e....r....y..... s.....l.....o.....w.....l.....y....

                Hope that heals soon for you. My elbow was the same way. Although the extension really hurt more than when bent. Its a slow thing to heal. You are wise not to push it and go very slowly. My physical therapist said I had really pi**** it off and it had a long time getting over it.

                Have you had it looked at. The dr could give you some exercises to help it out a bit.

                  Yes, exactly! It huts when I straighten the leg not when I bend it! I've been trying to make sure I don't extend the leg fully when I walk.

                  I haven't had it checked out because we have new insurance starting aug 1 and I don't have the cards yet. So, soon!

                  I should look online for exercises, i'll do that now!

                        I'm here too. I am having trouble staying on the water through the week-end. I do great at work and then I lose my momentum on the week-end. This is my week-end, though. The week-end of the water!

                        1st goal: 139 (earlier weight)
                        what the rungs mean to me:
                        rung 1 - more veggies
                        rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
                        rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
                        rung 4 - berries, melon
                        rung 5 - wine -
                        rung 6 - beans, hummus
                        rung 7 - other fruits
                        rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
                        rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
                        Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
                        (on to pre-maintenance)
