  • someone, everyone help

    So i went on vacation, and really, really messed up. I need to start from the begining and do it as strick as possible. Can you all give me the support and cofidence that I need. What can I eat in the introduction Phase, snacks, cheese.
    Im a little confused with what types of cheese I can have, is cream cheese ok?
    Celary? Avocado? Pork rids? chicken wings (without sause)? cheese stixs? summer sausage?...,.ect?

    I would really appreciate everyones help doing this the right way. I need to look good and feel good about my self again.

    Ok Blue....

    First off...its ok we have all messed up at some point otherwise this club wouldn't exist. So stop beating yourself up about it....and Vacations tend to be hard....ok so now thats out the way....

    We here can offer you support but you have to have the confidence...and you also have to have the will power as well...We on this board can only do so much...but it has to be you that has to say i won't eat that cake or I won't eat that sub sandwich....you have to make up in your mind and really mean it that you don't wanna be the size you are anymore....

    You have to remember this is not a quick fix or a temp fix...this is a way of life...so if you plan on doing the induction and then going back to eating whatever you want and as much as you want then im afraid u will be right back here....So the first thing that needs to happen is that you tell your Im going to do whatever it takes....

    Ok my advice is to go and pick up the book (DANDR) you need to read it thoroughly and then make a plan of attack...b/c this way of life (wol) does require some organization.

    Also you can check out the stickies here on the board which will tell you what you can and can't eat on the induction phase...Cream Cheese is ok....Celery, pork rinds and chicken wings, as well as various cheeses....but its important that you read the book you need to understand this WOL before you can achieve it.

      Blueeyes,I know people get frustrated reading posts like yours because we want everyone to read DANDR.It really is very helpful and is very hard to do Induction without it.That said,we all make mistake,you'll find lots of support here. There's a sticky at the top on the forums that gives you a wallet-sized printout of what you can eat on induction,but it is Highly highly recommended that you buy the book and read it from front to cover and understand that this a way of eating not a diet.

        You can do this but It is all about the choices you make blue.

          1. No rear view mirror on the past .. if you keep looking back, you'll trip over something in front of you.

          2. Today is your second chance. Make it count. Take it ONE DAY AT A TIME, one success at a time.

          3. Keep your eyes focused on a goal of lifetime health and fitness. This is about WAY MORE than losing weight.

          4. Commit for the REST OF YOUR LIFE; that includes vacations, holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. This is HOW YOU WILL EAT FOREVER.

          5. As others have said, READ THE BOOK .. 2002 edition of DANDR is preferred ..

          6. Eliminate ALL refined carbohydrates and sugar from your life.

          7. Eat lots of fat and protein along with your veggies. Fiber will fill you up and keep your 'bodily functions' working.

          8. Drink 1/2 your weight in ounces of water per day. WATER, not soda or other drinks containing artificial sweeteners.

          9. Eliminate all sources of caffeine.

          10. EXERCISE EVERY SINGLE DAY, 30 minutes of cardiovascular (heart-rate raising) exercise minimum. Combine it with weight training for even more dramatic results.

          There. That's a good start.

            thank you all for the advice, Im a new women, starting a new diet. My life WILL be better and only I can make it that way. I will keep everyone informed. You are all wonderfull, its nice to know that I can count on people to help me threw this, even if we are strangers
