  • Day 7 of induction almost completed

Hi Everyone, I am on day 7 of induction and I know I will make it through the evening. So far, I have been cheat free but only a weight loss of 2.4 lbs. I probably don't drink as much water as I should but I can't really get in all the water at work because of my job. I am pretty much stuck up in the crane and can only come down during breaks, which is normally anywhere from 2 to 3 hrs at a time. I do bring a 24 oz bottle of water to drink there everyday and try to drink as much as I can at home. Yes, it keeps me up all night but it's the best I can do.

I am going to hang in there for at least the second week of induction and then decide what to do from there. It is true, at least for me, that I am losing alot slower the second time around. I lost 8 lbs the first week I did it last time but I feel that the woosh should come up pretty soon! Thanks for all your support and posts to read.

You're doing great! It sounds like you are fantastically determined and committed. Congrats!

Yeah, the weight loss may be slower this time. I remember when I caved in to the "must weigh" feeling after being abstinent for the first four weeks this time, and discovering I'd only lost about 6 lbs. Yikes!

But the good thing is, you're gonna lose. It's not a race!

Hang in there PJ and you will be glad you did.

I say throw the scales and listen to your body. Take measurements and use them as you guage.

It works for me and makes me much happier!

Yea! PJ for hanging in there. You're doing what you're supposed to be doing in this WOE.

Remember, we talked about this in another thread, for the 2nd, 3rd, etc. times around with this Induction game we have to keep in mind that we may not lose as fast or as much as we did the very first time. There are number of reasons why, but only your body will be able to tell why it's not letting go yet. I'm a scale hound, and let me tell you, my emotions roll with the scale..it's hard to hear the words, "release me" from the scale. Keep going, I bet you'll see a difference a week from now not only in maybe another couple of pounds, but maybe in inches as well as the extra drive, determination and energy you've been missing for awhile.

Hang in there! You CAN do it!

You might want to try bringing a liter and a half bottle of water to work - that's what I try to do during the day. I just refill it since those suckers are expensive!

I'd say 2.4 pounds in 7 days isn't bad at all - it'll be slower, but that's alright, it's still coming off. Think of the alternative - you'd still be 2.4 pounds heavier!

How are you doing now, PJ? I would get rid of the scale...it doesn't measure the benefits of this WOE. Keep it up!!!!

Well, I haven't got rid of the scale and won't. It motivates me whether I stay the same or lose, as long as I don't gain. I still weigh the same and lost the 2.4 lbs by day 3 of induction and now I am starting day 9 with still no weight loss. I am thankful to keep the couple of pounds off that I did lose though. I figure I should lose more some day soon, hopefully. I am taking pictures at least monthly to see if I notice a difference. At least I am not hungry with this WOE. ~~PJ
