so I'm back to induction and doing this right regardless of my social life and my friends who have fast (some very fast) metabolisms. Mine will never be fast enough to eat like they do until I lose all my excess weight and reach a goal of my satisfaction. The good thing is that I do know what kind of eating will maintain my weight and it's definitely tolerable. So tonight I went to the store and bought induction friendly goodies like lettuce, tuna, cheese, cauliflower, etc. and will return to induction tomorrow. I don't think I'll extend it past 14 days because I like the variety I had during my hiatus from this WOE and would like to maintain that for as long as possible (which I guess would be for life if I'm going by the book).
Ok, so I think I'm gonna keep this thread open as a journal for the next two weeks and could use all the encouragement you guys have for me.
Oh, and I could use some recipe ideas for an induction friendly meal that will satisfy any eating style. My friends and I do something called "Dinner & a Movie" (yes, I know TBS has one too). Each week a group of guys or girls takes a turn at preparing dinner on Wednesday night. Then we watch a movie or play a game or just hang out listening to the band practice. Anyhow, next week is girls week and I want to impress them with an induction friendly meal that they don't know is completely atkins friendly. I'll be nice and serve rolls with it (they've never been a huge temptation anyhow). I've made cauliflower like potatoes and zucchini with tomatoes but I would like to try a new side dish. Also, I would like to make an induction friendly dessert (even if induction friendly means I just eat one bite). Suggestions for that would be well appreciated as well. I'm not gonna lie, I'm a good cook. I average 3 marriage proposals per week when I cook (which is almost every girl's week--well all but 1 so far). Anyhow, I don't want to dissappoint them now.
I would say "Wish me luck!" but I need to hear, "Don't cheat, it's your own fault if you do." or something like that.
