  • Article on MSN re: Dove Ads

Okay, I just read this article on MSN regarding the new Dove ads where they use women between the sizes of 4 and 12. The guy writing the article, what a jerk. These women all look healthy and beautiful.

The writer is out of touch. He has been conditioned like most people to think a certain way. I wouldn't take it too personally ladies. Some of us guys like a little meat on our women .

When did a size 12 become plus size? I thought they all looked great. Oh well, as Bill said, we know most men like curvy girls

Where are these men? Hiding? I have yet to meet one.. Even the one who said he liked curves was lying... Hmmmmmm...

Agree its wrong.. and that no human form is perfect.. but have yet to meet a real guy who would choose the heavier of two girls when push came to shove... It IS indoctrinated so heavily, I am not sure any have escaped it.. SIGH...

And the harsh thing is, If a male was as "heavy" as those women, he would be considered cute, or not even considered differently at all.

Didn't realize I was feeling so bummed today.. .argh..

All I know is, the next time I go to Stuff-Mart for bathroom stuff, I will pay extra for the Dove.

They're between sizes 4 and 12 and he uses Brobdingnagian? Nice. I don't exactly consider these women to be "hefty" either. Looking a little more at this writer though he seems very cynical and hates everything so take it with a grain of salt. Not worth our time or effort to care what that tadpole thinks.

A number of men I know have married "heftier" (I'm being sarcastic about the ad) women just like in the ad. If the men you know judge women solely on looks and not for who they are, you need to meet different men!
