  • my second time around

    I know I shouldn't look, but I did. This is day 4 and nothing is happening. I mean last time around on day 4 I had already lost 4 pounds. I feel discourraged. I am afraid I won't have the willpower to stick with this because it is moving too slowly. Needing encourragement ladies and gentlemen.

    Hi MsMagee! Hang in there. Sometimes in the second time around things move a little slower. Plus, with 26 pounds to lose it may take longer anyway. Just stick with it, drink your water. Follow induction to a "T" and then consider moving to OWL on day 15. You might consider posting a day of your usual meals so that we can take a peak and see if there are any items that might cause issue. Also, Finelly posted a great second time around slow progress post. I will bump it up for you!

      Back away from the scale! Did you take measurements? They will be your saving grace for this program. Dont get on the scale for at least a week and better yet, at the end of your 2 week induction.

      If you are questioning if you are doing everything alright, then why dont you list a sample days menu and what you are drinking and exercising for someone to take a look at.

      Hang on. You may be losing just fine if you give it time.

          Hey, hey, hey. You wouldn't seriously give up just because the scale isn't saying anything, would you?
          How are you FEELING? What are you eating? Are you drinking your water? Exercising? The Atkins High should be coming really soon, if it's not already there. You'll have that burst of energy, the sense of well-being....

          And the inches count so much more than the pounds.

            Thank you everyone, and no I'm not wanting to quit. I am just one of those people that need to see the scale moving to feel encourraged. I'll post a sample meal and you guys can let me know what you think.



            3 egg omlette with mushroom and spinach

            3 hour walk pushing a stroller between 4-5 miles

            salad with ham slices and ranch dressing

            baked chicken with green and yellow beans in butter

            snack on cold chicken

            1 diet pepsi caffeine free
            32 ounces of crystal light
            48 ounces of water

              Food looks good to me.

              Some may question the crystal light and diet soda. My cousin drinks them and still loses. If you have trouble that would the the first thing I would recommend dropping from your menu though.

                Thank you Terry. I did not have a problem with the crystal light with the first 30 pounds I lost, but I fell off the wagon. Do you think it could be different this time and it could pose a problem?

                  I wouldnt dare say whether it could affect you or not. Like I said, my cousin can drink all that stuff and still lose.

                  If you are losing fine and want to keep it on the menu go ahead

                  <ducking from those who may wanna slap me>

                  but if you begin to see no results that is what I would suggest you chagne first.

                    If Crystal Light wasn't a problem for you last time, it's not going to be a problem for you this time. Go ahead. Just don't count it as part of your enormous (64 oz plus) water intake!!!!!!

                      I agree with the above. Meals look great! And as Finelly said, make sure to get in your water, not including that crystal light and soda. I am a diet coke addict. But I have really scaled back with having to get my water in. I can usually manage 1 to 2 servings a day after water.
