  • Sore ribs

There was a time before when I was losing that my ribs really hurt. Felt like muscle cramping. I wasnt drinking enough water, going to Curves and working a new routine at work so wasnt sure what caused it.

I began to have the same thing today. I am not working a different routine and am not currently going to Curves, just walking for exercise. I havent done anything out of the ordinary that would affect this area of my body.

Do you think it could be a lack of water? I have been at the very least getting 64 oz in, usually 100 and several times a week the whole gallon. I have managed my supps for 3 days straight but was not being all that good about them for awhile.

    Or am I just weird?

    Do you take a supplement?

I'm not sure if this is the same thing, but when I start upping my water intake my legs will hurt like they are sunburned. I found out that all the extra water will flush out some minerals. I then started taking a Potassium pill and the symptoms disappeared within a few hours to a day. I've also read that someone else had a similar problem and took calcium and theirs went away too.

Something to try that won't hurt you.

Actually Terr I was going to say the opposite could you be drinking too much water and waiting to long to go to the restroom....or could you be straining that area while doing crunches?

        Re: Sore ribs

One of the supps I take is calcium/magnesium/potassium. I have just not been a very good girl when it came to taking them daily. That is why I am wondering if it is muscle cramping.

I am glad to say that I have taken my supps for 3 whole days in a row so hopefully they will kick in pretty soon and this will go away. I will have to concentrate on making this happen every day.

        Thanks kkat

Nope........... Im pretty sure its muscle cramps. My rib cage hurts (a bruised feeling hurt) and I will see what happens in a few days. I have 3 quarts in me today and will get the fourth in. I just may have to give the supps a few days to kick back in.

Keep us posted on how your feeling. Sounds pretty uncomfortable. Hopefully the supps will help ease it.

Ok, it just occurred to me that this may have something to do with your boobs.......

If weight is coming off and things are shifting slightly, it may be causing a slight strain on those rib cage muscles. And I would assume they will adjust just fine.

                Could that be it?

I was thinking the same thing today Fin! (I get all sorts of light bulb moments in my car driving down the road...lol) It dawned on me that the girls have changed all of the sudden and before when this happened I was losing in my upper body so that it more than likely the culprit. It is better today. At least I dont feel bruised like I did yesterday.

                      Hi Kat

I do think it was because I was quickly losing inches there and the girls were making some changes. I upped my water intake and over 4 or 5 days it got better.

                      Thanks for checking!
