  • 25 Things I love about the Atkins routine

    1. I never have to think about what to eat. I know what foods and recipes are acceptable, and I enjoy them.

    2. Most forbidden foods don't cause me more than 3 seconds of "I wish"-ing.

    3. I spend less on eating out than I do on books.

    4. No bloating!

    6. Better skin, nails and hair

    8. Real foods begin to taste better

      9. My clothes are starting to fit like pajama's

      1st goal: 139 (earlier weight)
      what the rungs mean to me:
      rung 1 - more veggies
      rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
      rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
      rung 4 - berries, melon
      rung 5 - wine -
      rung 6 - beans, hummus
      rung 7 - other fruits
      rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
      rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
      Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
      (on to pre-maintenance)

            you wake up one morning, pee, and all of a sudden you weigh 1.5 lbs less than you did yesterday......

              1. No feelings of guilt because I ate something I shouldn't
              2. I don't have to be hungry to lose weight
              3. I get to buy more clothes
              4. I feel great
              5. No fatigue
              6. I can stay up past 10pm (LOL)
              7. I can dance and play with my son without being exhausted within a minute

              I could go on and on.

                  Bacon and sausage for dinner, and never ever EVER having to eat a rice cake adn tell someone, its really not that bad, and its good for you, again!

                  Daily Goals:
                  No wasted carbs.
                  Water intake .5 -1 gallon.
                  Exercise 60 minutes 5x week
                  Get in the right veggies.
