    hi,,,i just found this forumi feel blessed to have found it. thanks to everyone for the great threads. i am starting atkins again tomorrow,,,i am 245 and this is my second time. i was doing great the first time and i just quit. i had lost 27 pounds in about 5 weeks,,,and i was wondering if anyone had any second time around testimonials that may give me some hope.several people have told me that going off and on will make me resistant to lose. any comments would be appriciated. thanks,,,angie

    You will still lose. You just have to stay strong and cheat free through a strict induction. It may come off slower, but you will lose. I hope your first day goes well!!! Check back in with us and let us know how you are doing!!

    Oh, and make sure to drink you water

      We are glad to have you here.....I don't have a testimonial as of yet....but I can tell you that im going into my 4th week of induction and im down 10 lbs and 9 inches so far...and I couldn't be more happier with my results....so far

      What I have learned is that you really need support tools to be successful. You have to learn how to lean on others and take constructive critisism....b/c the people here only wanna see you succeed.....

      My best advice is to stay strong but remember to remain committed...and work hard....remember no goal wanted badly enuf will come easy, you have to work hard.

        Hi and WELCOME!!! Please read all of the stickies at the top of this forum - they are a good introduction to the second time around on Atkins.

        Also, be sure to check in every day. Someone will invariably set up a "check in" thread. Often we will have a separate checkin about exercise for the day, too, to keep us disciplined.

        Yes, sometimes there is a slower weight loss. I myself am going much more slowly this time around. But it's coming off, and we are all learning patience! Besides, when you feel good, you can handle anything!
