  • Tape Measure Lies

    Okay, so I found the tape measurements I did, and plugged them back into that website, and then took new ones.. In a week and a half, it had me loosing 7.5 inches, and gaining another,,, 3 gone from waist and hips, half and quarters various other, and gain .25 on my wrists and ankles...

    SOOOO... either I took the first ones wrong, the second ones wrong, or maybe, because it is so spread out over SUCH a LARGE square footage, it doenst make that big of an impact? The issue is, my jeans fit the exact same. My white pants fit the same, my pink pants fit the same and my skirts fit the same.

    Thoughts???????????

    Was TOM involved anywhere?

    if your pants fit the same, then I'd just use the most recent set as your start and go from there I guess.

      I know that I had to lose a lot more inches at first to go through a pants size than I did as I lost more weight. The measurements don't surprise me and I think it's more than possible for them to be fairly accurate and still have you in the same pants size. I know it happened to me.

      As you continue to take your measurements, you'll get more consistant about where and how the tape measure is placed because that will throw it off too. I'd just keep them jotted down and keep adding to the list as you progress through your weight loss journey. It's lots of fun to look back and see how and where it came off!

      Also, you'll find that there will be times when you do gain a bit in inches, especially if you're exercising. It's not a fat gain though, and that's what's important! Muscle's hawt!

        I hate measuring shoulders, I always get a 2 to 3 inch difference, and if its not exactly in the right place...grrrrr
