    Hi everyone! Hope you are having a great Tuesday so far. Seems pretty slow around here lately. Hope all of our STAC members are out enjoying themselves and getting in lots of exercise!

    Well, my Tuesday is so far so good. I'm still feeling strong and doing so great with the exercise. The scale is starting to move again, which helps to keep me motivated. I'm also noticing a change in my clothes, a little looser these days.

    How is everyone else doing?

    good morning! i am staying away from the scale for another week or so. tom is anyday and i'm not even looking....but clothes are still feeling good. bought another size 10 jean yesterday.

    so i got to sleep in today wohooo. i am training someone at work this afternoon to take over my duties because i am leaving for school in a few weeks. i have bittersweet feelings about starting grad school. it just seems so overwhelming right now.

    anyways...i am about to go make some eggs and sausage for breakfast. yumm! and i MUST start chugging that water.
    Starting Weight: 190 (2005)
    Goal Weight: 140 (met goal summer 06)
    Current Weight: refuse to get on the scale but all my clothes don't fit
    New Goal Weight: 135

      Ate my breakfast so far, eggs & sausage and getting ready to chug water. Exercise?.......Well, I think I will start that after I finish my 14 days of induction. Tomorrow will be my 14th day. Woooooo Hooooo, then on to OWL and of course, excercise.

          My Tuesday is going fine. I am working out a two weeks notice for my job, so it is a little bit weird and stressful. I am not doing as well as I would like. I haven't exercised in two weeks and while I haven't exactly cheated, I have been taking a lot of short cuts on the diet. <sigh>

          My scale has stalled, but at least it isn't going the other way.

          Good for you, Sarah, to see the difference in your clothes. That is awesome.
          And Michigan, congratulations on Grad School. What will you study? That is a bold move, but education is always good! Hooray.

          what the rungs mean to me:
          rung 1 - more veggies
          rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
          rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
          rung 4 - berries, melon
          rung 5 - wine -
          rung 6 - beans, hummus
          rung 7 - other fruits
          rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
          rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
          Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
          (on to pre-maintenance)

            Shannon, hang in there. The transition from work is probably causing you to slip a little. Once you are done with that very stressful situation, you will be able to focus on you and happiness!! Just stick it out, keep eating the right foods and the stall will break.

              Thanks, Sarah. I think that is exactly what the problem is! I guess I will focus on not slipping and let the rest come when this is over. Do you work outside the home? I do miss exercising, but this week I have come home each night exhausted. You pinpointed it with the stress. What would I do without this board? You guys help me so much!

                Hi everyone!

                Tuesday is weigh/measure day for me... 6.75 inches lost this week, and 3 pounds. woohoo! It's been a banner week for the old knicknack!

                michigangirly- I quit my job 5 years ago and went back to grad school - it's the best thing I ever did although I'm starting to get sick of school. ;-) I did a masters and then went into a ph.d program. 2 more years though, I keep telling myself that!

                Today I have to work A LOT. Since I was sick all weekend, I didn't do too much.

                  Shannon, I do work outside the home full time. And at home, I have a 21 month old son. It is very hard. Exercise has been difficult to fit in. What I have been doing is getting up a half hour early (I am so not a morning person, this sucks) and doing a 30 minute exercise tape. And then after dinner I take my son for a 30 minute walk w/stroller (I don't get this second one in every day, but several times a week). Then I come home and DH gives son his bath while I do dinner dishes and clean up. Endless cycle.

                  I do have to say that since I've been getting up and exercising first thing in the a.m., I seem to have more energy throughout the day.

                    thanks for the kind words everyone! i am going to central michigan university. i am getting my masters degree in human development and family studies. i found out a few weeks ago i was awarded an assistanship which means i am also going to be a graduate assistant! i have like a billion orientations in a few weeks so until then i am anticipating what is to come. i graduated with my bs in may and i am struggling to get myself in "school" mode haha. it is also hard when most of my friends and peers are not going on to any more school either. buut i think things will be better once i start the program. i have to much time to sit and think about all the "what ifs" of school and my new grad assistant job.

                        Good Morning All

                        Just working and trying to keep from being angry at my manager for moving us around....I have no clue what he was thinking but he has totally inconvienced me .... I literally have to sprint accross the office in order to support the units that are apart of my job....

                        Any way im on my second liter of water....will probably exercise on my elliptical machine today....so thats it for me...not in the best of moods....

                          Morning all! I was up at 5 this morning, did a half hour walk by myself then took one of my parrots out for the second walk, plus raked apples in my back yard for an hour, feelin great! Drinkin my water and readin all these posts! Great to hear how everyones doin!

                            Goooood morning!

                            I woke up this morning to discover another 1 1/5 lbs lost. It appears that I stagnate for a couple of weeks, then lose a few pounds over a period of days, then stagnate.

                            As long as I know the pattern, I'm fine with it!

                            I've been less active here in the last week because one of the other boards (non food-related) that I post on has heated up for awhile......sorry!

                            Everything is going well here except that I haven't worked out as regularly as I was. I'm getting back on track, though. I need to have a firm routine established by the beginning of sept, when I go back to teaching. THAT is when everything will be hectic, what with work, commuting, kids and their activities all combined.

                              Finelly, you are doing great and are very inspiring. I hope I get to the point where I can recognize a pattern in my weight loss. I am still on induction through tomorrow but I did notice that my last weight loss took me 6 days so I am curious to see if I will lose weight around 6 days after that, which would mean this Friday, Aug 12th. Great job with the weight loss and sticking it out with the stalls.
