I was looking for it, couldn't find it, so here we go!

There is something that keeps us moving in this world to do what we do. I think about that from time to time. To get to the core of the weight loss thing, lets make a list about it.

What is keeping me motivated on this WOE?

Losing weight, because I KNOW that I'm melting fat away to never come back, also losing those fat cells with my Whooshies.

I feel good when I look in the mirror every morning at my progress.

You lose the weight without going hungry!! A major plus for me.

I get thirsty, which in turn makes me drink all of my daily quota of water.

I can come to and see that great minds think alike, and that's an ego booster.

I agree with everything you said. Keep feeling good about yourself! It will all come off.

      Re: Thursday-Check In

Motivation is seeing my husband's ex-wife in her size 2X and I'm in my 10P.... LOL

Actually, it's when my husband says "Damn, you're hot!"

Being able to get a pair of pants out of the closet and not worry if I can button them.

Being able to NOT have to say "Please don't dry my jeans, they'll shrink!!"

      Actually wanting a full-length mirror.

      More later........... maybe

Motivation is when I see those of us who slip and fall, and then I see lots of hands helping us all back up, and pushing us forward. This board motivates the SNELL outta me!

          Awwww..........great posts guys!!!!

          My motivation:

          1. Seeing my son's face and knowing that I want to be a part of every memory
          2. Seeing the pride on DH's face because he's happy I have chosen to better myself and I'm not giving up, no matter how many times I fall off the wagon.
          3. Feeling that spark start to come back into our relationship
          4. Feeling physically and mentally healthier and energized
          5. Feeling my clothes start to get looser.

          Boy, I needed this today.

                Re: Thursday-Check In

                G'morning!

I'm really, really busy this week, unexpectedly, so I just stopped by to check in. Things are going well. Water is up, weight is down, food is still tasty! No cravings, no temptations, just keeping on keeping on.

What motivates me is that I am now firmly fixed in the routine of Atkins. It's just second-nature to me, and I am thrilled that I don't have to stop and think about eating other things.

My husband says I have "shape" now.....and he likes it.

My son just came home from a month away and said "wow, mom, you lost a lot of weight!"

The barrista at Starbucks, who now knows NOT to prepare my Grande Raspberry Mocha when she sees me come in but instead makes me an iced coffee, said "every time I see you, you look thinner."

I can only wear my jeans once after taking them out of the dryer, because after that, they start to sag toooooooo much.

TOM is due and my skin is perfectly clear.

It's those little things, every day, that keep me reminded that this routine is the one for me.
                Started Atkins 2d time 6/20/05
                218/187/140
                Measuring every 2 weeks
As of 10/31/05, losta total of 56.75 inches!

Minimum 45 min cardio per day
