      MamaK's Frozen Custard

This makes 3 servings. If you want more, make a double-batch. I make a small batch for built-in portion control.... the kids split a portion and dh and I each get one

      1/2 c heavy cream (3g carbs)
      1/2 c water
      6 egg yolks (2g carbs)

Beat and pour into a saucepan. Heat on low-medium, stirring constantly, until slightly thickening (coats back of spoon).

      Add:
1/3 c Davinci of your choice
      1 T glycerin
      1 t real vanilla

Let cool at least 2 hours in the fridge in a bowl.

Add to ice cream maker and mix until thick. Enjoy!

This is creamy and sinful and freakishly delicious!

      I count it as 2g carbs/serving (I round up). Approximately 200 calories.

My soft serve ice cream maker seems to make it too hard, wonder what the heck I'm doing wrong.

Is that ice cream legal for induction?

Re: The Never Ending Recipe Thread

I bought my glycerin in the pharmacy section of the store. Smallish bottle, 4 oz or so, $2.50 I think? It lasts a long time though.

I'd think it is induction legal, no reason it wouldn't be! Just don't eat a whole batch! It freezes best in the machine in a full batch, but I made a single-serving once because I didn't want to overdo it... it works just gets icier.

I can take a pic of glycerin if you need it!

                              That's the kind I use.

You can leave it out if you like.... it just makes the ice cream a bit creamier. Just for texture
