  • Tuesday check-in!

    Gooooood Morning.

Just measured and posted my stats up in the sticky. Wasn't as good as I had hoped for. But I've been lackin in my exercise and guestimating my carbs. Going to change that this week...upping my exercise and keeping track of what's going in my mouth.

The scales positively hates me anymore...all I do is gain and loose the same 2-3 pounds. Never dropping off what I have been for several weeks. <sigh>

Although on a good note...I did drop a pants size

Not alot going on here today...finishing up redoing the dining room floor and mowing the lawn.

Hope everyone has a good day!

    Re: Tuesday check-in!

Good Morning Weighless.... I have been doing the guesstimating carb thing as well and have begun to write things down once again. May just do it here and throw it out there for all to see to keep me in line.

Today is my first day back at Curves. I really need this. Walking is great, but I need to stretch and work these muscles again. Lately my joints are bothering me... stopped taking my arthritis meds and am going to start them again today. Im too sore not to. Of all the things I could inherit from my grandmother I couldnt get her smaller figure, her wonderful legs .... I had to get the early onset OA. Which so far is giving me her fingers and toes and joints. Going back to Curves will help.

Its also senior picture day for my daughter. We will take my son on Thursday. This is going to ge an expensive year with them both graduating this year. But it will be fun too I think. They really are great kids.... although they dont seem much like kids anymore.... They will be awesome adults!

OK I have digressed a lot this morning.

Have a great day everyone! Im off to take dd to work, hit Curves and run some errands.

I understand the same 2-3 pound thing. I have been 184ish for 9 months.

Terry are they twins or just close in age? I have twin daughters. Isnt it amazing seeing your babies turning into adults?

I will not allow carb creep today!!!!!!!!

Expensive year for sure Terry! All three of my girls have been out of school for a while now. Now I'm getting to spoil the grandbabies.

I eased off the exercise a bit because of my knees hurting so much. Sure is heck getting old. But I know getting some of this weight off will help ease up on them. It did before. When I was down in the 120's a couple years ago they hurt...but didn't kill me just to climb stairs. Sure isn't fun getting old I did buy some bands (can't remember what they are called) that strapped below my kneecap to keep them from moving around. It did work. Think I need to dig them out also. They just weren't the most comfortable things to wear all the time.

        I'm with Lauren!

          Checking in here as well

Already been an interesting day here. Grumbling and bickering with dh. Oyyyy.

I'm already almost half way through Day 2 of being a non-smoker, and I feel fantastic - literally - like I've been set free again.

I'm just about to sign off and go do Yoga Booty Ballet Basic. It hurts, but it's a good hurt, and I need to move this bod of mine because I am stiff and sore today! I'll probably get Slim & Limber in at least once today too to help with that.

Water - committed to 80oz today, and food wise? Already have all that planned for the day and most of it ready to go so it's quick and easy.

Dawned on me that I forgot to take my vitamins & minerals yesterday. Oops. Taking them right now as I sit here. LOL

I was cracking up reading about those of you with kids graduating. I love that you're so excited! My mom? When I graduated she had quite an idea for a graduation present for me.

          Luggage and a map.

          ROFL.

            LOL

            I got the luggage too!!!

Baby blue samsonite and it is still with me................... Not in style for quite awhile. Until recently anyway when I saw a set in JC Penney the same color. I can use it again!! LOL

Now I am really off for Curves. Had to wait for the laundry. So glad to be going back.

Your exercise routine tape this morning sounds fun Brook.

              Happy Tuesday!

Carb creep is terrible! Its been happening to me as well, all including the floating at the same weight. So, I'm back to a strict induction. Going back to the basics.

Been a rough few days for me. The little guy has been really sick. I haven't had a lot of time to post with all the snuggling I've done with him and of course the dreaded doc appointments. It really sucks when your kids are sick and its completely out of your hands. I want nothing more than to ease his pain. He seems to be feeling a little better today though.

Brook, congrats on the smoke free day! Great habit to kick!

WHAT? You mean those baby blue samsonite luggage sets aren't in fashion? lol My mom bought me that set too when I joined my very first rock band. Guess I don't really give a hoot if my luggage is in vogue or not...luggage is luggage.

                    Re: Tuesday check-in!

Back from Curves.... Feels great to be going again. Today was jump rope day. (Use it and gain curves money for purchasing products) I gave it the old college try. My knees are not up to a lot of that yet. And to think I used to be jump rope king! HA!

Lauren.... my kids are 13 months apart. DS is 18 and DD is 17 (son went to a "step up" class after kindergarten putting them in the same grade)

Brook....... Im excited but sometimes really miss having little ones. Love Love Love that they wipe their own butts now ............... but they were so snuggly back then!

Star..... Evidentally I dont care either because I have used the luggage all these years as well. Mom sure got her moneys worth out of that purchase! Its been 25 years.

Sarah..............Sure hope that little one feels better real soon.

Time to eat! Im having breakfast squares with a few slices of bacon and refilling my water bottle.

Goodmorning. I'm checking in for today.

I noticed yesterday how my twins are shrinking
                      They were hyperly obese

I'm getting the food in and drinking my water. Goodie, Goodie.

                        Re: Tuesday check-in!

I'm done with YBB Basics. It felt really good and it helped me work some of that stiffness out. Right after I was done with YBB Basics, I did Si6 Slim & Limber. I'll likely do something else tonight too to keep me busy. LOL

I'm behind on my meals today - between kids and everything else today I feel like I'm 2 steps behind myself.

I'm already half way to meeting my water committment for the day.

Terry-Good for you for knockin' it out today! I hear ya on the kids, and right now I have the best of both worlds. Sammy-Jammy's got the bathroom stuff down on lock and she's the most snuggly thing on the planet. hehehe The thought of her growing up makes me weak, and while she's still only 3 feet tall, her starting kindergarden this year is NOT settling well with me at all. You should have seen me making them guarantee me that her tiny little self won't be run over by all those horrible, mean, big kids on the bus. ROFL My oldest daughter, Roo (her name is Nikole, but we all her Roo) told me, "Don't worry Mom. If anyone comes near Sammy, I'll rip their face off and call you to let you know before they do."

                        Heh. That's MY girl.

Sarah- Hope your peanut is feeling better soon!

Time to go make Sammy-Jammy & I an omelette. We're hungry!

                          I'm here!

I haven't had any kids in school for ages!!! My youngest is 26. I'd like to say that I miss her but she's living with us.. LOL We need a little smaller house so they CAN'T keep coming back!

So what is a good arthritis med? I have bursitis in my left hip, which compliments the surgery I had in my right foot. Sometimes I don't know which side to limp on. Lately though, the hip pain is taking over. I've been taking Aleve and Ibuprofen. I guess I should see a "Hip" doctor. It does interfere with the intensity of my workouts. I just can't push myself as hard without being in extreme pain all night.

Ok, enough of my woes. I did hit the gym last night and did 20 min on the stairmaster. It felt good to get moving again!

Got 48 oz water down, ready for a refill. I really need to bring some softer TP to work!

                          Y'all have a great day!

Debbie, what are you doing for workouts? We might be able to make some suggestions.....

I hate thinking of you trying so hard and having it be painful

I hate taking meds... HATE it. But nabumatone is what the dr ordered and it does work for me. If I dont take it the joints in my fingers and toes feel like they are all bruised and when I hit them by accident it sends me thru the roof.

And since I havent been taking them lately I am pretty sore. So I know what you mean.

Hope you feel better soon Debbie
