ah ha! so i found a down side of losing weight. since none of my old clothes fit me, i HAVE to go shopping haha. my boyfriend thinks i am crazy and is under the assumption that since i frequently visit the mall, i must have oodles of outfits. WRONG! i am simply re-building lol after an all out give away of the old stuff. i've never LOVED the mall more than i do now AND i've never been spending so much money on clothes!! ahhh!!! someone help this addiction!!

Doed MI have stores called DOTS up there? They have pretty decent in between clothes while you are losing for roughly $ 10-$15 a pop.

Oh I hear ya! I recently 'put a call out' to some friends of mine to ask if they had any hand-me-downs they wanted to give me, because I couldn't keep buying clothes at the rate I was growing out of them! Thankfully, a bunch of them sent me enough pants to get me through the next couple of sizes (I'm a 14 now, and they sent me stuff ranging from 10 - 14). Hurray for not spending any money!

Thrift shopping gets me thru. It is nice when you enjoy clothes shopping again. I go thru the grocery store and think "if I dont get that then I can get a new blouse!"

haha yes, i am all about DOTS lol. but my mmooost favorites are EXPRESS and LIMITED. before weight loss, i was lucky to fit in an XL and couldn't even fit in the pants...and now! it's love!

Oh my goodness....I see this is going to be one of my favorite threads....Nothing make me happier than to loose weight and can then go to the mall to find something cute I can fit in that I know I would not have been able to fit in a month ago.....

Find a thrift shop near the rich part of town and you'll find lots of designer labels cheap. We have a Junior Jaycees one near here and alot of times the clothes still have the tags on them and have never been worn! This works for Goodwill as well, just look in the phone book, find one located near the rich people and more often than not you will hit a jack pot of really nice things for really cheap, lots of times still new!

I love getting new clothes, and this time around I have a bunch of things that are waiting to fit me again, so it'll be like having new clothes all over again.

I remember when Lane Bryant clothes stopped fitting me and I was so totally jazzed! I'm close now, I think.

haha yes i am quite the clothes junkie and i am not ashamed lol. i love finding a bargin..but sometimes you just gotta go all out!!! i love finding a totally cute trendy new outfit at one of my favorite stores!! i've definitely hit up all the goodwill and value world's around..but it just wasn't cutting it! maybe i'll take some new picture in my fabulous NEW clothes and post them soon lol!!

I can't wait till my bank account hurts me to go shopping for cute skinny clothes. My husband was really good at picking cute clothes out for me when I was thin. I told him that was my goal, to buy cute clothes that looked good on me. I think that is one reason I don't care to go clothes shopping any more. Nothing looks cute on me that looks cute on the hanger.

Oh he is very good at picking out clothes that would look good on me. Even if I think it won't look good, I try it on anyway and he was right. He can find things for me at the store, I wouldn't have. I don't know how he does it and he even likes to shop for my clothes. I think I have a wonderful husband!

You could always just shop a week before the next season's clothes come out (since they release a new round I believe under 6 weeks)... therefore, the clothes that you would be buying on discount are still what's immediately in fashion, but you don't pay the huge prices, *and* you learn what's coming out for the next season before anybody else does. There's also Gap where if you buy there and within the next two weeks, what you bought gets marked down, they give you the difference (I always wish I could be one of those people who keeps track of receipts).

Maybe you could buy things on sale at your favorite stores. I also do the second hand stores, but once in awhile a girl just wants something new.

I actually do not mind this part of weight loss! I HATE wearing clothes that are big and baggy on me....I find if you wear clothes that fit, it makes you look thinner than wearing the big and baggy stuff.
I can't wait to fit into all my "sexy" clothes....only like 10-15 more pounds and I will be wearing them! CAN NOT WAIT.
Now somebody kick my butt and make me exercise so I can look good nakid!
