  • Day 2-Clean this time

    Hi everyone,
Well, after loads of stress in my life and falling way, way, way off the wagon, putting ten pounds back on and starting smoking again after 9 years, I'M BACK.

This time I really want to do two things that I never really did the last time around: have a totally clean induction and add daily exercise. I AM SOOOOOO lazy! The only time I really have to exercise is if I set my alarm early and do it first thing in the morning, but when that alarm goes off, I suddenly have 2000 excuses, then feel terrible about how lazy I am, how I continually sabotage myself, etc...

Anyway, I also plan on staying away from the scale for at least a week or two, as I used to obsessively weigh myself daily.

So wish me luck on Day 2 of clean induction and Day 1 smoke-free!
    HW: 217, lost 57 lbs. in 2003/04
    Restarted on 8/18/08
    SW:197 CW: 190 GW: 160
I promised myself I'd never see 200 on the scale again!

Congrats on your second day! You are not in the boat alone about exercising. I really have to make myself exercise. Keep going forward and you eventually get to the place where you want to be.

                  Re: Day 2-Clean this time

Thanks for the welcome everyone. Day three now, and I'm feeling a little better. Brook, nice to see that we're on the same double challenge: reinduction/smoke-free.
I did jump on the scale this morning, and I'm allready down 3.5 lbs! I can't wait to see how different my results are after two weeks clean. I lost pretty easily on Atkins, although I cheated a lot. But I'm done sabotaging myself. I want to reach my goal — not settle for half way!

Be sure to take those measurements so when the scale wont cooperate you will see the inches falling off. It will be your saving grace!

I cheated the first time on Atkins too and lost quite easily. This time however, I am not losing so fast and I am not cheating. I lost a few pounds after the first 3 days and then my weight paused for another 6 days and then another pound; paused another 5 days and then another pound. What I am saying is don't get discouraged. I am staying encouraged by this wonderful group of STAC members. ~~PJ
