  • Happy Happy Sunday!

    Ah...........here I sit, with my first cup of coffee, hanging out with my Atkins family online...........

    .......and my mother is already back in New York. (My real family is still asleep: dh went back to sleep, dexh is on the sofa snoring, the two ds's are asleep also on sofas!, dds are alseep in their beds. It's just me and the cats, who are playing "knock things off" - a really fun game involving crashing as many things from the desk onto the floor while I'm typing.....)

    Yes, today will be a day to relax and get myself back together. I think I'm going to get a manicure and pedicure. I need to get some groceries and prepare some food for myself for the coming week, as well. I enjoy that. I know my dh and my dear ex h will take me to coffee to schmooze and make me laugh, as well.

    I hope everyone is feeling as good as I am. Except that you haven't been as stressed and strung out as I have the last few days!!!!!! How's it going?

    Hey Fin

    So glad to have you back stress free and loving life all over again! You did an amazing job of getting thru what could have been a downward spiral and came out stronger for having gone thru it.

    I think the mani and pedi are definately the perfect reward for all your recent hard work. Enjoy every minute of it. What an awesome family you have there to gather round when the going gets tough. That is something to be proud of. (even if they do want to live near their mother and not move hundreds of miles away as soon as they can... lol) It means that you did something right when you raised them and have much to be proud of. Best thing is that they have a role model to go by and will hand down that same love to their children.

    Im cooking today to prepare for the week. Ill work 2 days this week maybe a few more hours on another day then next week its back full time. Boy it goes by fast. Im worried about going back but I have been stronger at work than home in the past so I am also looking forward to that routine. I also have an aide in my kitchen and she has begun low carb to feel better so we will be a help to eachother. 3x a week will head for Curves and walk on the off days. There are a few new changes to come across my desk at work that I recieved some training for this summer so like most everyone else I am making adjustments that will frustrate me to no end Im sure. But food will not be the answer.

    Enjoy your Sunday everyone!

      Terry - yes, my children are SERIOUSLY flawed. This whole family loyalty thing, the love of each other and their parents (not to mention the fact that their father and I are still close) is just sick, sick, sick. It was probably wrong of me to rely on all of them, plus you, to help me through the last couple of days. I mean, isn't that DEPENDENCY? And that's wrong, right? Right.

      <giggle>

      Yep, I also have only another week or so before I have to report back to school. My new school. EEEK! I'm not in the LEAST bit ready!!!!!!! But like you, it's been easier to stay on the woe at work than at home, so I'm confident things will continue to go well.

        Fin...glad you have your life back..so to speak...hope you really enjoyed your Sunday...good luck with your new school...oh and my cat Patches likes to play the same games....unfortunately it's in the middle of the night..

        Terry...sounds like you'll be just fine when you go back also...sounds like you have a good plan

        Today for me was also food prep for the week...no time to cook each evening. Besides, that would drive me nuts. I'd rather get it over with all at once.

        Hope everyone had a great day!
