  • Back on track Intro

Hello all, second time around for me, as I lost focus. I lost 32 lbs. the first time around going from 232 to 200 in about 7 months time. Ended up taking a job that required me to eat on the road and it was down hill from there. Since then, things changed in my life and I ended up on PAXIL. I have done nothing but gained since then, and I am tired of it now. I went on the diet again last year but did not drop any weight even though I was cleary into ketosis. I keep the daily carbos in the low teens if possible. Reread the book to see if I missed something and the only thing I could come up with is the PAXIL possibly causing the no weight loss so I quit during the induction phase. I have completely weaned myself off the PAXIL for about 3 weeks now and hoped to see positive things. First week went by with little movement on the scale , 1-2 lbs. I begin to loose faith and then today I found the ADBB. I thought that maybe the PAXIL was still in my system and contributing to the lack of weight loss. Now it appears that I am not the only second and a half time around person not loosing as fast as the first time out of the gate. This site has given me the extra boost I needed to stick it out, continue the research, and hopefully make that target weight of 190.

      Welcome aboard!

First of all, I gained 80 lbs on Paxil and only after I switched to Celexa did the weight gain stop, but then I didn't lose.......until Atkins.

Now, I hope you are measuring. If not, do it immediately in the morning. Use www.mybodycomp.com and we will recheck measurements next tuesday and then every other tuesday after that. EVEN when the scale isn't moving, the tape measure will.

A lot of us are experiencing the slowness, but I keep reminding myself that that means less loose skin as time goes by, lol. And I feel fantastic, and hopefully you will, too.

      Glad you joined us!!!!!!!!!

Hi, Munch! Tom's right on! You can do it! I was on antidepressants until I was on Atkins and I've done really well without them (granted, not everyone will, so check with your doctor)! Unfortunately, antidepressants don't help when the problem is unstable blood sugar. Antidepressants only treat the symptoms... not the cause.

Some people lose at a very slow rate. Keep the faith... and a tape measure handy (finely beat me to it!)! Many times we're losing inches even when the scale isn't budging.

You can and will make it happen!

        Nice to meet you!

Thanx for asking - things going well - I filled out the body chart yesterday morning as directed and look forword to measuring again next week - attitude is good as I can tell changes in the body are occuring - hopefully I do not affend anybody here, but I happily say it looks to me like my man boobies are reducing and my manssier (Seinfield fans get it) is headed for the trash.
