The incredible growing FINGERNAILS

does anyone else have this happen? My nails are stronger than they've ever been, and they're growing like 9 miles a minute. I have to cut them every other day, and they won't break! usually they get to a certain length and then just snap right off.

I don't know what's going on but I'm pretty happy with it! It's fun to get compliments on them!

I wonder if my hair is growing too. It seems really super dry though, and tangly, so I suspect not.

My nails have been growing faster too..... Now my hair, my hair is falling out all over the place =(

I have incredible fingernails. They're strong, really, really long (people always have to grab my hands and look under my nails to see if they're mine. LOL), and yep, they shoot out of my fingertips!!

My nails don't grow that fast, however they seem to have become a lot stronger. And that is a good thing as I am a fingerstyle guitar player who uses his nails to pick the strings with. They used to break all the time before I started Atkins.

yeah, someone asked me if they were real the other day. And, they are so long that they actually get in the way nowadays. I seriously had to chop them in half the other day and they're STILL super long.

it's kind of fun though!

My hair is falling out too, but I think it's a medicine i'm taking and not the diet. Supposedly it stops though!

Yep, my nails are great with this woe. Wish I could stop biting them and let them grow. I have the same issues w/hair. Losing lots of it. Thank god I have thick hair.

You know I wasn't corralating my stronger fingernails with Atkins, but I have noticed that they aren't chipping and peeling like they used to. They aren't super strong either, but they seem to be healthier too : )

My fingernails are acrylic so I dont know about them as much as my toenails. I had a little operation last year on one of my toes and the doc said the nail wouldnt grow back all the way, and now it has! You cant even tell!!!

Same here; My nails are usually brittle and weak. They're a lot stronger now, and starting to grow, but I'll chop them before they get too long. I can't stand how long fingernails get in my way! Call me a tomboy....

Mine are long too... I have to file them off regularly or they would be 2 inches long!

You know, I didn't even think about it until you said something. Mine are normally thin an brittle but now they are getting thicker and stronger and yes, they do grow faster, including my toe nails. My hair has also grown faster than it has in the past too. My husband has been commenting on how fast my hair seems to be growing. I am not having the problem of losing it either.

Mine too! Its frustrating, because I need to keep them relatively short to make doing my job (web developer) easier. (Fewer typos!) So I'm always having to file them down! It is nice though, to have them not break at the drop of a hat.

And my hair! I used to be able to go three months without needing a haircut to maintain this style, and now I can barely go a month and a half without it looking terrible. Heh.

Yep, yep, stronger nails, longer hair. And mine hasn't started falling out yet, but of course it will pretty soon, for a short period of time. It happens if we lose a major amount of weight - the trauma to the system causes the hair to fall out, but luckily, you keep growing more hair immediately, so although it looks horrible in the sink drain, you won't go bald!

Thats awesome you guys....My poor nails are so soft but I was always told it was genetics...So this WOE hasn't help me any that I can see but ....MY hair is growing like crazy....soo whoooooo hooooooo

I have begun the hair fall out thing. I didnt do it my first go around. The drain is full when I am in there lately. Wish the gray ones would be the ones to fall out but oh no the good brown ones are whats waiting for me to scoop up when the shower is over. The good thing is it does grow fast! And yep........... the nails are wonderful with this woe.
