I hope your day is starting out just wonderful. I did my first exercize lastnight. I rode my bike around the block...lol that was an accomplishment! It has been since my kids were young...they are grown now....since I rode a bike...but, i did it...I also walked the dogs....naa, they walked me....anyway it was great! Oh, I do have a question...I am retaining fluids..I feel it every morning when i wake up, would a little lemon in my water help with that? any other solutions? Not taking in any excess salt, havent been able to do that in years.

Good morning to you to Miss Dee! My day is very nice so far. Took a day off of work. It is just me and myself today. I am not sure about the water retention part. I am having the same problem, but mine is in the middle of the day more. I am keeping the sodium down as much as possible as well. I hope we get an answer posted though.

Some people experience a nice whooshie after retaining water. I would try to drink more water. How many ounces a day are you currently drinking?

right now.....only 64, the required amount, going to get 80 in today. 64 is good for me because I was not drinking any before....only cokes, and when i did drink, it was only one glass, I have not drank any diet cokes on this only one diet rite in the evening as a treat, because I love the bubblie, I dont think I should drink much of them right now.

Yes, 64 oz is good. Especially going from none. That is exactly how I am. I think trying to drink the 80 today will help you. You might even drop some pounds from it. Crossing my fingers for you

Missdee - how much weight do you want to lose?
One 'rule' about water intake often quoted here is 64 ounces plus 8 extra ounces for every 25 pounds you want to lose.
If your maths cant cope with that calculation another idea is to take your current weight in pounds and divide that number by 2 - the result is how many ounces you need to drink.
The two methods dont give exactly the same figure, but choose one and go by it.
For me (with about 15 pounds to my guessed-at goal) method one comes out at 72 ounces and the second method as 77 ounces.
Remember these are minimum amounts - it won't hurt to drink more if you can!Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

well, I started at 203, would like to get to 125, but, its where ever the good Lord wants me to be. My problem is that I did not drink water before, however, I have been drinking 64 ounces...but, today I made it to 88 so far....and probably more because I am feeling thursty right now..yipee....I also have a problem with water retention...when I wake up, my fingers are swolen and my wrist ache....so, I am wondering what I can do to get some of the water out of the intersticial tissues. BTW...thanks for the advice...and I measured, but, i dont know how to put them under my name...I think it is called a signature

Go to the top of the computer screen and click on USER PC. Then look at the left hand column. Click on "edit signature" and you can create your own!Started Atkins 2d time 6/20/05
