  • What constitutes 2nd time around?

Just curious, what do you consider to be the "Second Time Around" ? I posted on another board that I had an off day and did some cheating. No biggie, I felt a bit guilty but got back on track. Someone replied that I should check into the STAC. It kind of caught me off guard (not the invite, just the clarify, it was a very kind and welcome response). What surprised me is that, after a small cheat I feel like I have to get back on track, and others think of it as starting all over: second time around.

So, again, my question: at one point do you feel that you've been off the wagon so long that you're restarting round two (or three, or four, etc).

To me, I feel as though I have been on atkins since the day I started, despite a few cheats (and cheat days) now and again.

I personally would not consider it your second time around. You have been following Atkins and had a slip up. Just get back on track. I would say that the second time around is when you have completely fallen off the wagon for a period of time. You are doing great!!! Just move past it.

However, you are more than welcome to chat with us anytime

I totally agree with Sarah1341.....you just had a slip up Cranberry and you are back on track. You've been on atkins since you started. And are doing awesome!

Without having a lot of information, it's possible that perhaps there was the assumption that you needed uber-support to stay on track. ADBB is a support board. STAC is a support group within a support board, so to speak.

BTW, hey, girl! You're looking hotttt! (As Paris would say)

Welcome, cranberry. I was/am in a similar siutuation, in that I never really stopped, but am getting back on track to hit my new goal weight. I can also tell you this... The support here in STAC is awesome. I am glad they let me join.

I also wanted to add that you're looking great!

agreed- if you slipped up it isn't your 2nd time, but if you actually let it go for a while then it is!

Did I miss something? Are we voting people in or off now? Can there be challenges and immunity? What about monkeys and snakes?

Just silly in the middle of laundry.

Cranberry, I think perhaps what some people see as falling off the wagon, others see as a setback. There are those who will never eat another empty carb, and those who are more flexible with integrating the principals with life that happens. It is a matter of who you are, I think, and how this is going to work for you.

I would say you are welcome... The more the merrier... But we wont herd you in... LOL... we arent kidnapping folks and holding them hostage in STAC...

Wait, you mean I didn't _have_ to complete the series of trials and tests before I could post in STAC. Now you tell me!
