  • Survived an afternoon of tea and cakes :-)

I went to a tea party with other (mainly) new Mums this afternoon and they were drinking Pimms (very British I know!! You have to understand there was a glimpse of sun for once ) and eating cakes and other biscuits etc.

Guess what I had.......two glasses of water I didn't even crave any of it.

    So chuffed.

Must go and put the dinner on.

Isn't is great that you can have no desire to have those things. Keep up the great work.

Re: Survived an afternoon of tea and cakes

Thanks everyone. Have just been to another party and didn't eat a thing. Waited until I got in and then had two boiled eggs! It's 11pm here now. My baby daughter was not in the mood to party and cried constantly which was not good for any of us so we had to leave early. Ho Hum.... another day, another dollar! xx

                Well done Zarabelle

Just to reassure others who have an event to go to that usually involves mountains of carbs - did anyone give you a hard time over not eating? Did they even notice?

Many people assume they 'have' to eat to be polite or not upset feelings and it is good to hear how others overcame this perceived problem.

It may help another Atkineer resist as well as you did,
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

                  Hi

No one even noticed that I didn't eat!!! Well, my husband did but he knew why and totally supports me on Atkins. At the tea party they obviously did but didn't mind.

                  xx
