  • having a terrible day... can't stop eating

this is the reason i'm a fat *** to begin with. it's just one of those days. NOTHING can satisfy me. no matter what, i'm hungry. seems like i've been eating non stop all day. i feel disgusting and i'm highly dissapointed with myself. i've been eating all low/non carb foods, so i should be within my 20 carb daily limit.

just venting. tomorrow i go back to work and don't have access to all the food. that should help.

    A couple of thoughts.....

First, are you eating stuff that is high in fat? That should help satisfy the hunger.

Second, before you beat yourself up, consider this: Many of us have discovered that right before a big whooshie, we are STARVING! I mean, cannot get enough food. Hungry, hungry hungry. It's possible that your body is preparing to drop a big blob of fat.........

Hang in there! It's good that you are not eating high carb stuff!!!!!!!!

I know how you feel. I have been doing that too for the past 2 days. I am also just upping my water intake and watching my carbs. Our bodies adjust to so much that is going in within that we know nothing about. It will be ok. Here's hoping for a whooshie day really soon!!

      Imo...if you are hungry.....eat.

Dan, I have those days once in a while too. I do the same things you are doing eating no carb/lo carb foods to satisfy it and like Finelly said make sure you eat something higher in fat. I also seem to go the other way too where I am not hungry and make myself eat smaller snacks. I think this is all normal and you are doing just fine by eating.

a whooshie is a sudden loss of weight. you might be retaining water or something like that and all of a sudden, you start peeing alot. you body just lets it go.

those pictures are part of a signature. you need to find an image... host it and insert the link between two image tags.

hey man... get out and do something... anything to divert your attention in the short term from the eating. go to a park... walk the mall... exercise...something. stick it out, not only will you be setting youself back physically, you will beat yourself up mentally if you break down.

Re: having a terrible day... can't stop eating

I may be wrong...and I usually am... but I've lost the most weight in the past the MORE I ate. As long as you're staying lo carb, I don't know why you're beating yourself up.

My very first time on Atkins, I had previously been on a lo calorie diet and was starving. I went on lo carb and started out the day with sausage cheese omlet, continued on with 2 cheeseburgers (no bread ofcourse) for lunch and alot of other stuff for dinner. I did this for 3 days and after 3 days I HAD to weigh myself because I was terrified I had for sure gained weight. Well, you guessed it, I had lost 4 lbs. Now I'm wishing I could that again. Unfortuantely, I've been on this woe for a week and haven't lost an ounce. Now THAT'S depressing.
female, over 40, okay, over 50, okay, never mind.

I'm not to fat for my height, I'm too short for my weight.

Are you wanting to use the smilies - like these

you need to be in 'advanced' mode for them.

Instead of posting in the 'quick reply' box just click on 'go advanced' and you should be transported to it. If the first set done have the ones you want then click on the link at the bottom of them that says 'More'.

                              Hope this helps
