  • nice. biggest fear confirmed.

so, uncontrollabley, i ate like a champ yesterday. now, instead of dropping any weight, i'm up 2.5 lbs for the week. my official weigh in is tomorrow, but there is no way i'm going to lose anything substantial by then.... so it looks like my first mini goal is now my next mini goal.

    That's your worst fear????????????

I lie awake at night and worry about cancer, myself! lol

Well, I wouldn't be so sure that you won't lose by tomorrow morning. Stranger things have happened. Besides, this is a long-term thing......blah blah blah.........

Finelly hit the nail on the head, Dan. This is for the long term. I remember you getting frustrated before when you didn't drop as much weight as you had wanted, but sometimes your body needs to take a breather. It is normal for your weight to fluctuate from day to day... heck, even several times during the course of a day.

Just follow the good doctors directions and it will happen. If your body is still adapting to the huge initial loss you had, and doesn't produce the same dramatic loss, give it a little slack.

My friends I understand frustration but we can do this. Heck with the scales, what about the tape measure. Its really a better indicator.

It's just water weight and sodium weight. You have to eat 3500 calories in excess of your metabolic need for your body to gain a pound.

Seems everyone here is afraid of cancer! Well, so am I. My Uncle's wife (my aunt-in-law) got diagnosed with breast cancer when she was 26 and died at age 29 because it came back.

So, if you want my opinion here Dan, be happy you're even alive, and be happier you're getting thinner! Like cleo said, its gotta be water & sodium cuz theres no way you could gain 2.5lbs overnight, almost impossible!

Dont' worry Dan. A hickup nothing more. We all have them. In the long term is how you should be looking. I have my days when I have to eat and eat and eat and I never wiegh myself the next day....in fact...I make myself wait a week. That really helps me not stress about it. Hey...find what works and go with it. But...dont' worry

Unless you are female, which you are not. At least you don't have to worry about the once a month water retention gains that we have.

To gain 2.5lbs of fat you'd have to eat 9200 calories in excess of your daily needs. That is almost impossible for most people

As for your Monthly issue, that is water, nothing more.
