  • Monday Check-in

    GOOOOOOOOOOOD morning, campers! I've been up for an hour and am about ready to slide out the door.

    Got my water. Got my lunch. Ate my breakfast. Look good (dh told me!). Ready to go to my new school and new teaching position. WOO HOO!

    I'm down to 201 today, probably because I started eating more. I'd been in sort of starvation mode during mom's visit and the aftermath, but yesterday I ate a HUGE dinner.

    Wish me luck!

    Hope your day goes great Fin!! We want to hear all about it when you get home.

    As for me, bought my tape measure and measured. Yay!!! Broke down and got on the scale, but the battery was dead (omen, maybe).

    Doing great today. I had two breakfast muffins for breakfast. I have some cucumber and tomato for a snack. Will go out for lunch. I plan to have a cheeseburger without the bun and some mayo on the side, side salad w/ranch dressing. For dinner, pork chops. Not sure about the veggie yet. Maybe a salad again.

    Hope everyone has a great Monday!

    Pre-warning so I do not get in trouble, I will be on vacation from Friday evening through next week (hopefully during next week I will have time to check in though). No internet access for me over the weekend through Labor Day! My big interview is next week while I'm on vacation, so please send some positive vibes and/or prayers my way

      Good morning, Sarah and Finelly!

      Today is day 5 and I'm down 19 pounds! I'm feeling amazing! I am really disappointed in myself for gaining the 42 pounds over the summer, but I'm relieved that induction still works for me when I'm faithful to this WOE!

      Today I have laundry to wash and fold and bathrooms to clean! It's always a party at cleo's house, if you're a scrubbing bubble! I'm just thankful I have the energy to clean!

          Alive and well. Had a rough weekend with my doggy with an infected paw, but stuck to lo-carb, even though the meals weren't square. I pat myself on the back for staying on this WOE when completely stressed out and worried about my dog Booshie (who rhymes with Wooshie!)

          OK so a bag of pork rinds is not a good meal.....



          I am drinking tons of water today to flush all that salt out. YUK!



          SInce Booshie is better I will be going to my yoga/pilates class tonight.

            Hi all My computer at home is down again...had a power outage throughout my whole area very early Saturday morning...came on after 2 hours but the 'puter is still down for the count So...obviously I couldn't post until I got to work this morning.

            Other than that, I'm doing great. Today is week 3 of re-induction, and I'm down a total of 2 lbs...will check the inches this coming Wednesday. Cheat free for the whole weekend and lots of water. Even went out to eat and had no problem...Chili's and Ground Round...I will admit I had very bad sugar cravings for some reason but did not give in....I will not undo what I've accomplished so far.

            Funny thing...before Atkins I never had sugar cravings. Was never big on desserts...guess that's because I always ate way too may carbs.

            For today...Breakfast was 2 fried eggs w/bacon. Lunch...Porch Chop with sauteed peppers....Dinner will be a Turkey/swiss Sandwich on Romaine w/Mayo and a small salad w/Ranch. Gym tonight too!

            Sounds like everyone is getting off to a good start this week..Cleo...awesome weight loss!!!

              alright i am baaack!!! i am settled into my apt and classes start this evening for me. finally got the internet working this morning so i will be able to check the board and post at my leisure! i'm trying to work on the water intake but other than that things are good. happy monday everyone!

                    Hi all! I'm home briefly before going to work out with my daughter.

                    Today was wonderful. I love my new school, the staff is wonderful, and I spent most of the day knee deep in old files and papers that I am slowly weeding through and throwing away. The teacher before me retired and left EVERYTHING. Lots of crap, but a TON of really great books and stuff to use the classroom, so I am not complaining one bit.

                    Dh is going to come to school with me on Wednesday to rearrange furniture and help organize the materials I keep, which is fantastic, since he is also a teacher and knows what I need done.

                    I brought enough food and water for the day, and have everything ready for the rest of the week, so I feel pretty organized. I did NOT enjoy waking up at 5 a.m today, but I'll adjust!

                      Great first day back Finelly!! I agree.......... 5AM really is not my time of day. I really am a morning person but not until say....... 6 or 7!

                      I got thru day one of a 2 day training session. Will be back in my kitchen on Wednesday full time. I am realizing how much I missed my students. My school has only kindergarten and first grades and we have such a fun time with them. I really missed those little buggers and didnt realize how much!

                      Cleveland... hope bushie is better very soon!

                      Michigan..... good luck returning to your school routine. Sounds like you are all settled in.

                          I have worked out.

                          I have eaten 3 cups of legal veggies.

                          My percentages are good.

                          I drank water...................and I'm not saying any more than that......

                          I feel good.
