  • i can't get past this barrier. it's pissing me off.

so, in the first week, i went from 219.5 to 210 lbs. the second week, i stayed at 210 lbs... and so far this week, i'm still at 210 lbs. i can't seem to break this barrier. not even by a pound.

Its okay, thats pretty much the pattern for many. The third or 4th week, the body kinna starts taking a break, adjusting to the new menu. You are probably losing inches and you might want to check you belt and see if your now down a hole or two. Lynne

If it's any consolation I'm in the same boat. Before I went on holiday I got stuck on what I am now. When I lost the three pound I put on, I'm back to the same place. It's a pisser but I remember from my starvation diet days that the same thing seemed to happen (but at a lower weight back then). It will pass, it's just a case of gritting our teeth and seeing it thru.

Agreed. Two weeks in the whole scheme of things is barely enough time to blink. Give yourself and your body time - know that if you hang in there, stay true to plan, and keep on keepin' on the weight will move. It has no choice!

I only lost weight the first two weeks and not much either. I lost 5.2 lbs total and have stayed stuck at this weight for 4 wks. now. I did start taking measurements because the scale is not moving one oz. I am at the exact same weight as I was 4 wks. ago.

The tape measure, however, is going down. I balked at taking measurements, but finally did it due to the scale not moving. I am still waiting for that whoosie everyone talks about but as long as the inches come off, that is fine with me.

Dan, get a tape measure, if you haven't already and stick it out with us!!!! We are here to support you!

You're doing great, dan! Agreed that the plateaus can be frustrating, but if anyone is going to make it through this, it's my Dan-the-man!

Dan, sugar, we all get pissy. If you ever need someone to gripe to, we're here for you. Besides, you get cute when you have that little line on your forehead pop.

Hey Dan, your doing great. Be kind to yourself , try to be patient, you
must be feeling good (other than this temp stall) and have more energy .

Dig deep, take that 'pissed off feeling' and do some power walking with it!

                            It will resolve .
