  • I am back!

I am sure most of you don't remember me, but I had great success with this WOE starting about 2 years ago. I had lost 55 pounds, then sometime around last Christmas I fell off the wagon. I though I could eat what I wanted, I would just eat smaller potions, not eat late at night, etc. You know, basically lying to myself, I started eating more & more crap, & before you know it none of my new, smaller outfits were fitting anymore. Well I broke down & bought new, larger , summer closthes, but I REFUSE to buy a new winter wardrobe. I have probably gained back about 40 of the 55 pounds I had lost & was really starting to feel crappy & sluggish.
So 5 days ago I decided I NEEDED to come back to the Atkins WOE & stick with it, not just to be thinner & heathier, but also becuse I feel so much better when eating low-carb, I need less sleep, no heartburn, and am just generally in a better mood.
Not sure what I weight now, apparently I hid the scale a little TOO well (I may break down & buy a new one if I don't find in the next few days.) But even though I have only been doing induction for 5 days my clothes are already fitting better.
Are there any good contests/challenges going on right now that I plan on poting alot, I knoe posting, even in moments of weakness, is what keeps us all going.
Well thanks for listening & see you on the boards!

Gee, I can't relate to that at ALL!!!!!!! <ducking to avoid lightening strike from above>

Well, Jenny, you have found the right place to hang out. We've all been there, done that, and are doing it again. Check out all of the stickies on this forum, gear yourself up, and get ready to post daily! It's the habit that works.

DO measure yourself, and don't buy a new scale.

    Welcome aboard!

      Re: I am back!

I have been reading the stickies & I think sticking to inches lost rather than pounds lost sounds like a good plan. Of course, I have no idea where my tape measure is either, must be hideen with the scale
I'll get a new on tomorrow (tape measure is much cheaper than a scale anyways!) & try to find my old account on mybodycomp.com to assess the damage.
      Thanks for the welcome

Just fyi, Jenny - I gained ALL the weight back PLUS four lbs and yet when I started this time around and measured, I measured LESS in many areas than I had when I started the first time! It was really exciting to have a head start......

Good Luck Jenny and welcome back!

At least you are already 5 days into Induction, it's a great feeling .

Yes it is nice to be 5 days in already. Every morning I wake & think "Why the heck didn't I go back to the WOE sooner!?!?!" I am feeling SO much better already
I can't tell you how many morning I would wake up & "OK, today is the day", then cave in by lunch or dinner.
When I restarted this last Wednesday, I just KNEW it would be for real this time. It was like my something in my mind finally clicked, I have my resolve back & am not caving in to temptation.
