  • Ready for school?

    Ok! I'm ready!

As most of you know, I'm a special ed teacher and tomorrow is the first day of school.

I have four bottles of water filled and chillin' in the fridge.

I have lunch for 5 days packed in containers:

    - 15 olives
    - pumpkin souffle
    - chopped cucumbers with ranch dressing
    - smoked turkey slice
    - devilled eggs

(that's enough for me to have morning snack, lunch, and something on the way home so that I don't walk into the house at 3:30 and eat the entire pantry)

Got tomorrow's dinner and Wednesday's dinner ready to throw in the oven to heat up.

I have breakfast ready for five days (sour cream thingy).

We did an assembly line and have 3 sets times 5 days of: bagged carrots, crackers, cookies, pb and j sandwiches and fruit for the two younger kids and dh.

Got my gym bag packed so my daughter and my oldest son and I can go work out tomorrow after work.

Shaved my legs. Ironed my shirt. Washed and dried my pants (which I can only wear once before re-washing because they start to sag!!!!!!!!!) DD and DS have their clothes ready to throw on in the morning. Got the bagels sliced and cream cheese at the ready for their grab and go breakfasts.

I am READY! It's gonna be a great year.

Same thing here.......... meals cooked ahead. My lunches all ready to grab and run out the door in the morning and snacks to keep my belly happy. Water and lemon slices ready to put together and pack too.

My kids do hot lunch at school so I dont have to worry about that.... Just be sure the cash is doled out on Monday mornings.

Hope you have a great first week back Fin!

              Re: Ready for school?

Well, I'm home, and the first day of school was wonderful. I have 16 little rugrats in my class, 4th through 6th grade. Really nice kids. My aide is great, also - and he's also Jewish, which is the first time I've worked with a fellow Member of the Tribe in years!

My feet hurt (I've never been one of those teachers to stay seated at a desk - I'm moving all over the classroom all day) and that's about my only "complaint", and it's a minor one.

Cleo - the day I ask you to shave my legs is ......well, it's gonna be a very special day.......

Finelly-- I'm glad you had the opportunity to work with a tribesman! So long as you don't get excited during a challenge and vote him off of the island, I have a feeling you will be sharing many a good story over some challah at the campfire.
