  • Tuesday check-in

    I'm up. Lunches are ready. Having coffee, getting ready to start getting ready.

    I think I'm gonna remember the water today, as I am carrying four bottles to work and they are HEAVY! lol. I'll put them in a row on my desk and tell the kids to remind me to drink.

    I'll check in at the end of the day to tell you how it went.

    Here I am!
    Got the kiddos lunch ready for her first day of school, she is watching cartoons while I eat my flaxmeal/jicama cereal
    Got my salad & some cheesesticks & salami for snacks ready for lunch at work Had a little trouble getting to sleep last night, but feel great this morning. I think I am finally getting over my headcold.
    Hope everyine has a great day & I will check in when I can.

      Day 9 of Induction – so far so good. Got my son off to school and I have my water with me at my desk and a sticky to tally how many I drink today (need to drink 4). It’s still pretty warm here in Houston (low to mid 90’s) and I work outside some (engineer in a chemical plant) so getting my water in usually isn’t a problem. I just lose track of how much I have had and need a ‘sticky’ to remind me.

      Got my marine aquarium set up yesterday, water cleared up (long story) and the first batch of cheap saltwater fish to cycle the tank. Shampooed the carpet and it looks soooo good! Tonight is my night to go to the gym and I think I may finally have enough energy to do my full workout for the first time since I started Atkins.

        It is hard getting back into the swing of things. I am here at work and put my lunch in the frig only to find out I forgot my water bottle! Oh well, I still have my cup that I can fill at the water fountain. All is not lost.

          Hi!
          This thread will be great for my accountability. Ok so today is supposed to be my day off....but I am going in to work for some much needed overtime. I packed my lunch and dinner and some snacks(if needed). I have been drinking my water and went to my support meeting this morning. I will start my exercise regimen tomorrow. I am going to aim for 20 mins a day to begin with and work up from there. My goal today is to remain cheat free. I can do it!! Until tomorrow.

            Checking in for the day. Doing fine, hope is all well with everybody.

            Only thing is I feel fat, and TOM just left, when he was here I didn't feel like this Can someone tell me what's up with this?

              Hope everyone had a great day today Everything went well today...went with a girlfriend to do some household goods shopping and then to her house to have dinner with her and her hubby.

              Only thing bad was I was too long between meals...had a hardboiled egg to start the day and was out longer than I thought. Was starving when i got to her house...had a flaxmeal muffin...then dinner which was excellant. I brought crushed pork rinds so she could bread my veal cutlet and it was delicious! Also had fresh string beans and brussel sprouts made with shallots, butter, garlic powder and then lightly fried..yum.

              Not enough water today for the first time in ages...drinking more now but will never catch up.

              Back to work tomorrow and all will be normal!

                I finished my two weeks of induction today . . . going to stay the course (induction) for some time . . . see how things go. Only lost 5 pounds in the first two weeks, and was very very good, but I do believe that no matter how good you are, calories do add up, and I think I might have been eating too much protein . . . been using Fitday, and doing really well with my 20 grams of carbs, I guess I need to stop after 10 or 15 bites and ask myself if I'm full instead of just automatically eating the whole steak at dinner or maybe just have a chicken leg instead of the leg, breast and thigh at lunch.

                Sunday I turned 51, and I went to the Oregon Zoo with my baggies of chicken and veggies and lots of water

                  Hi all!

                  Today was great, but I am really having temptation problems. My son made sugar cookies, and I don't even LIKE them, but I saw them and thought mmmmm, dipped in milk.....yum.

                  I'm resisting. Having an extra fat snack right now.

                  Oregon - check out the "Slow Scales the second time around" sticky - it's helpful. I'm going very slowly this time around, too, and it has nothing to do with calories, I'm convinced.
