  • What Fuel Do I Put In To Get The Fire Burning ?

    Hi everyone.

As you know I am getting up at 5.30 to go to my gym at work for 6.15 am.

What can I have to eat on my way to the gym, so I don't exercise on an empty stomach.

Would a boiled egg be ok to exercise on?

I have my breakfast between 9 and 9.30 am which is two eggs scrambled with 2 cherry toms chopped up and black pepper, but I need something before I get to the gym to kickstart my metabolism.

    Any ideas?

Re: What Fuel Do I Put In To Get The Fire Burning ?

actually you have all the fuel you need in your fat cells and should have no problem accessing it from your Atkins eating priming the system 24/7.

If after you have been working out for say a week or two you feel weak and you are taking the right supplements you need to account for the vits and minerals you are lacking in your food choices then you may need to eat a hr before you workout and it should be some in your Atkins WOE for your phase. That egg wis protein and fats with just a bit of carb a perfect Atkins ratio food but it takes time to digest and as such you will not be getting any nutritional benefit from it if you work out 30 min later.

the fat you are doing to be pulling from your cells and converting to fatty acids and glycerol will be adequet to fuel you. You have stored energy for your wotk out from the foods you ate the day before too.

Don't fall for that bunk about carbing up either. Stick with your Atkins and be amazed at the great energy you have. But don't expect miricles if this is your beginning phase of exercise they you are going to feel fatigue during the workout cause your muscles are out of shape and they would feel fatigued even if you were getting IVs while you worked out. As your muscle cells get in better condition they will store fuels for workouts better burn those fuels avalible to them better and you will be a healthier stronger smaller person.

    HAppy low carbing.
