  • Wednesday Check In

    Good Morning!!


    Im heading out for work but wanted to wish you all a great day!

    Its a brisk on here this morning. All of 42 degrees. I could see my breath yesterday morning. Yikes!

    I have jicama, chicken salad, a bed of lettuce, 80 oz of water, and 2 eggs all packed to get me thru the day. Curves on the way home and the day will be complete.

    Good morning!

    I'm doing okay here. On vacation this week, so haven't been in as much. Today is a day at the zoo with our little guy. We are packing our lunches, so safe there. Bringing lots of bottled water and will get in lots of exercise.

        Hello all!
        Having a great day so far (see swimming post). Have just had a cheese, bacon, egg and mayo salad and it was yummy. The sun is shining and it's all good!

          Good morning!

          It was a little hard to roll out of bed this morning, but not bad!

          I'm sitting here drinking coffee and in a few minutes I'll start getting ready for work. Thank goodness for pre-preparing all those lunch items - all we have to do is grab and drop into bags!

            Good morning, everyone {{{Terry, Sara, Squeaker, Zarabelle, Finelly}}} and all who follow !

            I'm starting extended induction today and will be there until I'm pretty close to goal. I'm still only 21 pounds down for the first 2 weeks, but I usually plateau every 20 pounds or so. I stepped up the exercise, and I know this will help! I WILL hit onederland by December 31!

              Just ate my flax cereal, gonna chug some water before heading out to work.

                i'm here. school is crazy, i haven't been posting much lately but still lurking. trying to get on a consistent workout schedule at the studnet fitness center. things are going pretty good though. happy hump day everyone!

                  hi all!

                  i did great yesterday! swam a mile even, had sashimi, salad, and miso soup for dinner. Today I am really really really sore from hiking and running on monday, and the swim yesterday. SO, I went for a really fast walk instead of sitting around. I may be going swimming too today, but I doubt it since I have class tonight.

                  I'm all jazzed for exercise right now, I had SO much fun on monday and felt so good and tired at the end of the day - I want to feel like that every day!

                    Ok today is day 2....yesterday I did great until I got home from work. I blew it again.....Today is the day!! No cheating . I am getting ready to get on my elliptical and then go for a 2mile walk. Will chug the water to flush out the crap!

                    It's like being addicted to drugs.....Its so hard to stay away from the carbs. This is what I was afraid of. I felt great all day yesterday, I wasnt hungry and I felt in control. I felt queasy when I ate, but otherwise I was ok. Flushed it all down the toilet when I got home and ate ice cream. I am pretty confident that I can remain cheat free today. I will focus on that for now. So now that I have whined a bit. Im here and I'm determined.....Here's to Weds.

                      Hi everyone and Happy Hump Day Everything going pretty well here so far...working around the house today...not feeling 100%. Yesterdy's eating schedule...or lack of seemed to make a mess of my insides...plus one extra flax muffin...

                      Breakfast today was a nice mushroom/mozzarelle omelet with bacon....didn't do lunch yet..not sure what I'll have. Maybe London Broil and more mushrooms.

                      Will be doing some exercise later this afternnon...free weights and a Pilates for Abs tape.

                      Hope everyone has a great afternoon!

                        Checkin in late here! So far, a pretty good start. I ate Flax cereal for for first time: yummy! I want to get that recipe for Flax muffins everyone talks about....
                        Lunch was simple romaine salad with chicken and a few walnuts.

                          I had romaine lettuce and cheese for lunch too. I just love romaine, so much nicer than iceberg.....

                            40? Man, I was happy when it was in the low 70’s this morning and not so humid! Been nice all day – it’s in the low 90’s here in Houston, but nice and dry for a change so it felt pleasant.

                            I had lunch at a restaurant today – first time I have ventured out since starting induction. I ordered a grilled chicken salad with crumbled bacon and a Caesar vinaigrette dressing. Any idea how to count the dressing? I am hoping it didn’t have any sugar in it, but I suppose it had some. I am down 6 pounds and halfway through my second week of induction, so I don’t want anything to cause me to stumble. It was a business lunch, so I had no choice but to go.
