Re: Drip Drop Drink your water
I hereby bequeeth Laurenfrau as our STAC Water Goddess. I did a little research on Water Goddesses:
One of the most popular Sea Goddesses is Ymoja. She is the Yoruban (Nigeria) Mother of Waters Mama Watta who gave birth to all the world's waters. Throughout the African Diaspora, Ymoja has remained a popular divinity. She is Imanji or Yemanji in Brazilian Macumba, where She is the Ocean Goddess of the Crescent Moon. In Cuba Her name is Yemaya, appearing in many variants: Yemaya Ataramagwa, the wealthy Queen of the Sea; stern Yemaya Achabba; violent Yemaya Oggutte; and the over-powering Yemaya Olokun, who can be seen only in dreams.
On New year's Eve in Brazil, devotees of Yemanja gather at midnight on Coco Caba-a Beach and light a candle in Her name. Then, little boats made of flowers are set adrift on the waves. If Yemanja takes them out to sea, a good year will come. The Roman name of the Sea Goddess was Mari, meaning "sea" which gives us such terms as marine, maritime and our term for the vast lava "seas" on the Moon: Maria.
Amphitrite is an ancient Greek goddess of the Aegean Sea, whom the Achaeans married to their image of oceanic strength, the god Poseidon.
Aneta is a Celtic water goddess. Such water goddesses took two major forms: they were healers or they were ancestral mothers whose river forms represented the territory of their children.
Aufruvva is a mermaid goddess of the Finnish Saami, who helps the fish spawn every year.
Benten is the Japanese Queen of the Sea, a dragon woman who swims in state through Her domain with a retinue of white snakes.
Sedna is the Inuit Sea Goddess of Alaska. She is the Mother and Protector of fishes and sea mammals. Tien-Hou, Chinese Ocean Goddess, is in charge of maritime trade and rescuer of drowning sailors.

I did NOT include info on the Egyptian Sea Goddess, whose nickname is "the Celestial COW." I thought it would be inappropriate in a Message Board full of dieters
Anyway, I will drink
a gallon today.

Re: Drip Drop Drink your water
I feel so very lucky to have a water cooler and a women's bathroom right around the corner from my office . . . there is absolutely no excuse for me not to get my 100 oz's in a day . . . now if I could only turn off the bladder at night
